Hi Here is my .23 tier 0 try, landed on Minmus and the Mun 1194 science
-
Hi Did my first mission last night, tier0 parts got me 1200 science. I maxed out Minmus on my First mission, i think i will be able to max out science in less than 5 missions(Not sure). I did not know you could spam science in .22, so basically I'm not really feeling a difference, but the new science lab makes it more interesting. So far i am loving .23, no issues, and the Rapier is a fun little thing

How do I make unmanned probes useful with the new science system?
Lions replied to brooklyn666's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Hi What i will do is just to make very basic probes to get science from one biome. You can send up like 6 probes with a single launch. The other option is to have space stations with a science module and then to dock the probes there to reset the modules. What i did is to place a basic manned space station where ever i want science. Then you can send a ship out to the stations to take the science back to Kerbin. It is a lengthy process but that was the propose of the last update to give you more play time i guess. I like the new system, it forces you to think, and forces you not to be lazy and take the easy way out. (hope it makes sense) Good luck -
Having some issues to EVA my kerbels from the command module, but otherwise all seems ok

Well, in order to land on all the moons of Jool, one can not simply do one launch with 100000 fuel and complete the challenge. You need at least some Mechjeb mods , or any mod that helps you. or cheats, or to launch a refueling ship to refuel the lander. i can not see how you get 5 kerbals out to all the moons unless you do that. Or am i being stupid? Because i tried, and failed. ( only tried 1nce )

Ok so far I'm not seeing this: -Your craft should be easy to use, simple and safe - stock craft are mostly for new players, they should not be overwhelmed by 10 action groups that must be used at the right time. -Try to avoid exessive part clipping, a new player should be able to take your ship apart, learn how it works and put it back together -Your craft should be an example new players can emulate. It should demonstrate design techniques. What ARE action groups? What's aspargus? Can linear RCS boosters be of some use? These are questions new players could be able to answer by testing your craft. -If you use Action Groups of have any special commentary to make, use that neat, new description field in the VAB. It's a fine line between encouraging a new player with something new and overwhelming him - try to walk it. i have been playing for years now, and some of the designs even confuse me lol. -

Oki, here is the Cube MK1, did a test, all stages works fine, and landed nicely How it works, 2 "heat shields" top and bottom used for re-entry and to protect the rover. I added the RCS on top so that the pod can maneuver away from all the debris from staging. Stage 1 When the pod enters the atmosphere the parachute will deploy Stage 2 The bottom shield will be staged off, only top shield will stay while the chute brakes the rover. Stage 3 The top shield will be staged off and activate the rockets to safely land the rover. Stage 4 The last stage will disconnect the rockets and fuel tanks and the rover will be free to roam. I tried to keep this build as simple as possible, not to have too many equipment and parts attached, this will be the base and any thing else can be added if need be.
