  1. yep, it was .20 for me too. And not experienced enough to land on the engine.
  2. Most frustrating one for me, going in for a Mün landing (one of my very early ones), figure "Oh, I'd better quick save just in case", ship rolls over on landing, reload quicksave, and the landing legs fall off, EVERY SINGLE RELOAD.... argh!
  3. I used to be like you and build MASSIVE all the time. Way over engineered. Career mode has helped with that by forcing me to get used to building with smaller tanks and engines. Yes, I have run out of fuel a few times, but hey, I like the challenge! (plus forces me to design a rescue mission)
  4. Yeah, I was going to go to bed early last night, but whoops, just added the Kethane mod and wanted to try scanning the Mün.... yeah, didn't realise scanning takes so long (next probe will have multiple scanners so I can scan at 100x warp)
  5. A nice epic manned return trip to and from Duna's surface, didn't even have to send a rescue craft this time. Turns out, I had enough fuel I probably could have visited Ike too, but didn't want to risk it. Oh, this was on LV-909's too, no Nukes unlocked yet in this savegame.
  6. I did it after I got docking ports and used 909's for the transfer. Unfortunately I didn't have enough fuel for the return, so I sent another mission with a probe attached. I then docked to that ship for the return.
  7. Floating in a lander around Kerbin while I make a multi part interstellar ship.
  8. Tweakables. ie. being able to disable things like Gimbal in the VAB
  9. Yes... they make it worse. Because atmospheric drag isn't modelled correctly, nose cones actually add more drag and weight. Only add them if you're after the looks :-)
  10. Waaaaaah, my Macbook doesn't have a third button (two fingers is right click)...
  11. Landed Three Kerbals and two Rovers on Ike. Got a nice Duna rise screenshot, but alas, forgot to upload it.
  12. Currently working on a mission to do so. Just waiting on my transfer window and sending rovers to other planets while I wait :-)
  13. Launched a crane to the Mün (Robotics and KAS). Craziest looking thing I've launched and landed.
  14. Rescue mission continuing (from my early days before mastered landing). Finished rescuing everyone from The Mun with an epic rendezvous for the last one. Next up, Minimus, then on to Duna!
  15. For me, my first successful docking mission. First attempted with things that were far too heavy with LV-N's. Yeah, that didn't work too well. Then decided to make something light to test the principals.
  16. Finally rescued some of my guys from The Mun. Two flights. First was interesting, ran out of fuel and RCS, so Bill decided to jump out and push. Success! Second was by the books and quite boring in reports.
  17. Finally decided to rescue some Kerbals from The Mun. Built my generic S&R craft. But yes, my pinpoint landings suck. Tonight is doing the actual rescue.
  18. I second this demand, this thing looks amazing, I want to see it in the air!
  19. Not unbreakable, but can take quite a load. Should be fine in space Yep, it's very handy so that you can have forwards and backward engines on your tugs :-)
  20. Ooooh, I thought that might be the case. Nice to know the exact number now
  21. After playing for about a month, I've finally registered here. So far I've been to Duna, Eve and Jool. Moon wise, I've landed on Mun, Minimus, Ike and Gilly. Current mission is to land on all of the moons of Jool. And yep, I'm hooked.
