  1. I dont know what third and forth numbers mean. First 2 I can guess. KER can already show thrust at specific speed/altitde
  2. Actually its the same as the nacelle, except that it has better emissive coefficient. Basically it can dump heat away faster than standard nacelle. Hmm, looking at cfg files, it seems nuclear engine has emmisivity of 0.85 while this precooler has 0.95... Folks, this is something to attach a nuclear engine to. For vacuum uses ofc.
  3. Seems like hes in 0.9 still. With FAR aero and like the new one, you have to stick closely to prograde. More reaction wheels if not. Also, aerospikes dont have gimbal.
  4. I did say ISP nerf not a specific engine... Ok it is about the same to get into orbit. Only need 3500ms compared to 4500 before. But still.
  5. Too unaerodynamic, and you have to start your gravity turn at under 1km stick close to the prograde marker...
  6. Now the best liquid engine has 350 isp in vacuum. Aerospike should have something like 320 to 340 isp range instead of 290 to 330.
  7. I had a capsule, like 12 smallest tanks and a first liquid engine. I failed to get to proper orbit but still had 2100ms at apoapsis. The craft orientated itself retrograde by itself and no part overheated during reentry... Well the engine did smash itself at 10ms landing, otherwise it was fine.
  8. What you are mentioning isnt actually that different at all from previous version. But like mainsail has now isp value of 285 to 310... Nerva is still at 800 and aerospike has 290 to 330.
  9. I guess that was the balance...
  10. Aero isnt the reason for my rockets not working as well, its the ISP nerf...
  11. Ill go catch a few hours of afternoon sleep, to be ready for a long night
  12. Ok sure, for planes, thats a different story.
  13. Everyone, STOP worrying. A terribly un aerodynamic craft from 0.9 will get to orbit easier in 1.0! In 0.9 without FAR you need about 4500m/s dv to get to orbit. With FAR you need about 4000 with a terrible craft. And 3500 with a good one.
  14. Well there are airplane parts with only LF in them, and they are actually even lighter for what they carry...
  15. In a bit less than 6 hours for mexico to get monday.
  16. What you think its gonna launch now?
  17. You guys are just trolling. I see something*newtons, meters, m/s, fuel might be presented unitless but its clearly litres. Is metric allright!
