  1. This is a slightly reworked version of DasValdez's Double Canoe craft from KSP Academy. This version has reworked lander probes and a spaceplane as the Conning Tower. As an added bonus, it includes the launch setup to 100km. I've tested it and it works beautifully. Here is an album from the launch test. Get the file Here
  2. The trouble there is that the Triganic Pu is made up of 8 Ningis. Simple enough, but the Kerbal funds don't use decimals at all in the funds number. So that doesn't help. The other trouble is that the Ningi is a rubber triangle 1600 miles on a side, so no one has ever had enough Ningis to own 1 Pu. This would make it hard to pay for things. Since it isn't an interplanetary economy, we go with Flaininan Pobble Beads, though.
  3. Well, phooey. Darn and phooey. I just figured that since the idea is the lifter, the payload weight is all that really matters. But it's your challenge, and I'll not argue it.
  4. I didn't see it in the mod list, but I thought I'd ask. There is a mod that I use for testing rockets and lifting capacity: The Kerbal NRAP Adjustable Test Weight. It's here. All it does is give me an adjustable weight for my payload. The weight itself works like a normal part otherwise, so it is possible to attach docking ports and other such bits and bobs to meet the payload requirements. Would this mod be permitted as part of the payload, or would I have to build it completely from scratch? This just seems like it would streamline my efforts.
  5. So, I was doing another Duna mission, after the last one got eaten by the Kraken in deep space. New one is smaller and stronger. But I'm still getting waaay too close to the debris...This time it was much, much closer than last time. Slower, but closer. No Kerbals were harmed in the making of this album. Enjoy the terror, though. <iframe class="imgur-album" width="100%" height="550" frameborder="0" src="http://imgur.com/a/RWUYc/embed"></iframe>
  6. I didn't know how to take screenshots at the time. I'm still newish. I had just started a docking position burn, and I wasn't paying attention to where I'd started. I was moving to the back of the target vessel, and I'm closing the distance at about 20m/s. And I'm just off grazing the small solar panels on the target. It was scary, and by the time I saw what was happening, I couldn't have fixed it if I'd been on collision course.
  7. I love it how Whackjob can post a picture, and without any explanation, the context and chains of events leading up to it are all perfectly crystalline in their clarity.
  8. I made it! It took me longer than I expected, and it ended way past my bedtime. But, I've gotten it done. And it was good stuff. I had some trouble keeping it level, so I was doing a lot of up-and-down. But I managed to stay below the 25km marker. Coronare Kerbinax in the SPH. Only 26 parts!! In flight over Kerbin Flight Results! Relatively smooth on the acceleration to boot. And plenty of fuel left.
  9. Greetings all. I'm mostly new to this game. I bought it a while ago because of the Insane Rockets Division stuff on youtube. I've been fiddling about with it, but haven't gotten around to actually paying attention to what I'm doing. I just started up actually trying to get places, and I've got some stuff in orbit and a plane that can make it around Kerbin in an hour or so, with no glitching. Yay. Thought I'd join up here at last so I can ask questions if I need help. Or something.
