This is really nice. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Tell him it's Friday.

The hidden secret, of the mk2 cockpit interior space!

I think you're all being trolled by an expert. Or somebody needs a tinfoil hat. -
Sibling Rivalries, Barstools, and Kebral Space Program
Tracer13 replied to Alshain's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Sorry to take this off track, but I just had to comment.... I got to meet the man who created the VIC-20 and ended up working with him for a short bit. He designed it and wrote its first kernel (if you can call it that). In the Commodore manual, it said that VIC stands for Video Interface Chip. It was actually named after Vic, the guy that created it. He was super nice and said he made it to help get young people into computing. I said "It worked! Here I am!" On another side note, I was at the Bay Area Maker Faire this weekend and got to meet Eben Upton and Liz from the Raspberry Pi foundation. Great people! Tracer -
Nahhhh, that's peanuts to space!

I don't have an answer for you, but I will reply. I've seen people show off a few "cars" here on the forum. I'm not sure what it would take to find them. Do people still use that space port thingy? Maybe there are some cars there. I like building rovers but haven't tried in the new versions. I hope they improved the wheels!

More hype for new aerodynamics!
-
It too big to put anywhere else! It's actually hanging from the box where the ceiling fan should be.
-
Awesome! Yes, it will be. I'm building it out of Dollar Tree foam board. Waiting for some new servos before trying a maiden flight! Hope you have a great flying season, and a great time in 1.0!!!!!!!

I'm so hyped for new aero model, that I build a real model to try real aerodynamics!
-
I literally threw my head back, rubbed my hands together, and laughed maniacally! The world waits in eager anticipation!
-
I never used to fly planes in KSP, but the contracts system had really made me enjoy them. Now I'm afraid to build any due to the upcoming changes. I'm really looking forward to trying new plane and SSTO designs though when the update hits.

I'm very interested in the new Aero overhaul and can't wait to try some spaceplanes in it. Having said that, what do you think is going to happen to massless parts during the overhaul? Will they still be massless? How will they contribute to the drag of a craft? How will we compensate for the change of these parts, since now it doesn't really matter where you put them? Has this already been discussed? If so, please point me that direction! Thanks, Tracer

I think this sums up what I was going say really well. It finally gives a reason a have satellites. I love satellites.

Tweaked aerodynamics ?
Tracer13 replied to Vindelle_Sunveam's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
The photons lubricate the atmosphere and create a Teflon-like effect that helps the rocket achieve a lower drag coefficient. Also the stream of neutrinos from the sun cause an antigravity lifting effect that helps a little. -
You might also be able to talk one of our nice community members into editing the save file for you if this isn't something you feel comfortable doing yourself. I'm sure there will lots of posts asking for help of this kind when the day finally arrives! Wasn't somebody trying to build a program that would try to automatically edit things into new save files?

Am I understanding this correctly? Mission to capture an asteroid?

I love watching this!!!!! Can we please call it this???????? Thank you for reminding me that this exists. -
"But, will it blend......"

I've also seen this happen. I can go back and forth between the VAB and the Launchpad dozens of times, testing various bits of my rocket, and all is working fine. Then, after I make that one final adjustment, something weird will happen during the launch. And it's always that last one, when I say to myself, "Ok, we've got it now. This time to SPACE!" and something always goes wrong that seems out of my control. An engine will fall off, complete and unplanned rapid disassembly will happen, or some other odd occurrence.

[SHOWCASE] Most insane Aircraft

I don't think I've laughed harder at any Kerbal creation. You win! -
The fuel tanker problem and how it relates to KSP!
Tracer13 replied to tntristan12's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
tntristan12, good job on the math! Good luck on the degree. (Keep an eye on this guy, he's going places!) -
I'm looking forward to starting over. I started installing every mod I could find, and then got lost in all the parts. I ended up wiping and reloading KSP just to get back to the basics, but I'm really looking forward to this again with .22!

Hate: The lag monster. It hates my space station designs. Love: There's is something really beautiful about this time in a civilizations evolution. Making those first steps off your own planet. If there are other inhabited planets out there, they may have gone through this themselves. We share a bond with them without even knowning it. The challenges, the destruction, the victories we had to go though to understand how to make it all work. It's universal somehow, and that makes the galaxy seem just a little bit smaller and more like home. Also along the way, we get to see what NASA needs to do to launch missions (altough a limited view). We get to see just how close low orbit really is, and how thin our protective atmosphere is, yet at the same time how difficult it can be to leave a planets gravity well. It makes me feel like I'm in control on NASA with all those toys in my back yard, just waiting to be played with. And when I watch shows on TV about space and rockets, and see the similarity between the real stuff and KSP parts, I get a big grin on my face and think to myself, I know what that part is! I love that this is teaching young people these concepts and letting them experience just how small the world is. How much we all need each other. How we all share a common sense of wonder and excitement about the unknown. Keep up the good work Squad!

These actually brought a tear to my eye. Twice. Don't know why I had to watch it the second time, but darn it, I cried both times!
