  1. Thanks for this post, I just wanted to post exactly this. Glad I am not the only one who desperately needs this feature. From a developer's perspective, it might be possible to reduce the physics calc overhead by simply keeping the craft internally as a tree structure, and just decoratively allowing the users to connect parts to form ring structures. Still it should be made clear and easy in comparison to KSP1.
  2. oh that's a pitty. do you guys put the P6 directly on the unity 1 module then? EDIT: Just realized that Z1 is not needed for other modules. I found this animation here, and didn't look at the last few years to see that Z1 is not needed. http://www.dlr.de/PortalData/1/Resources/portal_news/flash/iss/iss_animation_dlr.htm Just click on the english-button on the right-down side and go to "Building the ISS". Then you can go through all the years
  3. I LOVE the modelled ISS parts! These are GREAT ;-) Oh and, I just realized how these docking things work^^ ... This wasn't clear for me, as ports don't act usually as "docked" when putted together in the VAB, so I couldn't find out what's going on, trying different (same size) ports just on the ground ... But now I have a nice looking ISS in the year 2000, saying Zarya, Unity and Zvezda in a wonderful 400km Orbit Had to re-dock Zvezda for 3 times as it was not in one line with the Zarya module. Just asking: Does Z1 exist/Is anybody working on it yet? ... would be nice to rebuild the ISS ~100%
  4. Hey there Have a question: I think I will manage to bring the buran with the ISS-Zarya module into a 100km orbit (my last curve was not really good, so i made a 17km periapsis); But as the ISS does orbit the earth in about 400km, I also wanted to do the same in ksp. How can I change the fuel/weight ratio of the Buran rocket to be able to make a 400km orbit, without adding rockets or other stuff? Of course, the only stuff is my cargo, the Zarya, or other modules. thanks very much! EDIT: got a proton-k with zarya into a 400km orbit... I changed the CFGs from the first two stages of the proton rocket, to get a delta-v from about 6500m/s. I also was able to bring all the debris back to kerbin
  5. I just noticed that I have to download a few packs seperately ... Shall I put them together with this ISS modpack, or are all things needed in the soviet pack already? ... This Thread should mention that on the very first page for a better overview^^ EDIT: Got that, as nobody answered in time^^ But a question to the PMA adapter: Does it be a docking port, or do I have to stick one onto the PMA adapter to dock on it? I tried to dock on it, but I couldn't?? ... I'm not sure if this is normal. And what is the "MIR docking Port Probe" actually good for? ... I always use the "MIR docking Port Drogue"?
  6. Ok so I just tried it out today. When I try to load the ISS ship, I get the following error: Where can I get the MIR ASAS-thing?? thanks
  7. Hello, Is the current pack compatible with 0.21.x.xxx ? And a chart would be cool, where all modules are listed and be shown its current development status (The list at the beginning of this thread is a bit confusing)
