  1. Tux; Europe and China ALSO have their own space programs, it is important to state where the launch will be from. Exploration Flight Test 1 or EFT-1 (previously known as Orion Flight Test 1 or OFT-1) is the first planned uncrewed test flight of the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle. Set to launch on December 4, 2014 atop a Delta IV Heavy from Space Launch Complex 37B at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploration_Flight_Test_1
  2. Philae is unlikely to be operating in its present state beyond Saturday."We have estimations right now that go between Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon," http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-30034060
  3. European Space Agency will try to (remotely) fire the harpoons on Philae. Over the next 2.5 days, the lander will conduct its primary science mission, assuming that its main battery remains in good health. An extended science phase using the rechargeable secondary battery may be possible, assuming Sun illumination conditions allow and dust settling on the solar panels does not prevent it. This extended phase could last until March 2015.
  4. Space probe Rosetta planned to "soft" land on comet 67P on Nov 12 ! Green light for GO. http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-29902456
  5. A Virgin Galactic spacecraft crashed after an explosion during a test flight over the Mojave desert on Friday, killing one of the pilots, seriously injuring another and leaving debris scattered over a wide area. Witnesses reported the spacecraft broke apart soon after it was detached from the launch plane that carries it to 45,000ft. The plane, SpaceShipTwo, was undertaking a test flight as part of Sir Richard Branson’s plans for commercial space travel when a “serious anomaly†occurred, the company said. http://www.msn.com/en-au/news/other/one-person-dead-as-virgin-galactics-spaceshiptwo-rocket-plane-crashes-on-test-flight/ar-BBceNoM?ocid=mailsignout
  6. Looking at Mars position relative to Earth, how many years to the next "best" launch window will come around ? In Ksp, Duna has to be "in front" of Kerbal orbit for shortest journey.
  7. Hydrogen-2 (deuterium) can be made by nuclear bombardment, so it take power to make it or (0.015% or 150 ppm) typical of ocean water. Not very efficient. The most common method of producing tritium is by bombarding a natural isotope of lithium, lithium-6, with neutrons in a nuclear reactor. {Wikipedia}
  8. Sorry, I forgot to say I want to drop ship onto Duna and re-launch, then bring it back to Kerbal. /facepalm
  9. I wondering how big does the 2nd stage LKO rocket need to be to take 1 kerbal + Mk1 pod + t800 fuel tank (7.2 t) to Duna and back ? 2> how big do the lifter need to be ?? 3>> how much food/water/air does pilot need ?
  10. Have you discovered that you can now climb the control tower on the Island ?
  11. I fixed the launch by putting wings on opposite side to make a winged keel
  12. I should HAVE put in that I am asking about the Learstar A1 (stock) that launches VERTICALLY. When you reach 50 km the wings don't give lift and it becomes unbalanced.
  13. I really need help ! Why can I not get into orbit ???
  14. G'day, any advice on launching the *new space plane = Learstar ? It pulls over too steeply at 20 k if I "turn" at 10 km; what position should the plane be in on ? top, bottom, side ??

  16. Ahhhh ! they guard a major trade route, thanks !
  17. Where does the wealth of the Lannister's come from ? Are they bankers ? What natural resourses does Casterly Rock have ?? Question is for a uni subject
  18. What is it about the '80's that has made that decade influence western (USA) culture for soooooo long ???
