  1. There is a problem with fairings where when I put them they seem to cost -numbers as shown here: http://imgur.com/a/buy81 the same rocket with fairings on and fairings off. It affects the actual game as when I launch I gain money and when I recover I lose money. It seems to affect all fairings that you start with not sure about any others. I am using the latest version of both KSP, Realism overhaul and RP-0 (1.0.4, 10.2, 0.35) as well as all recommended mods for Realism Overhaul, KAS and Infernal Robotics Also is the tree supposed to contain the Interstellar nodes like Nuclear Fusion. I installed it through CKAN but it doesn't look right
  2. Problem with CKAN it doesn't show up http://imgur.com/jpabyaL P.S Using latest version of CKAN
  3. The link to the eve overhaul does not work and when I use the other overhaul it crashes. Also when it was working city textures were very low do i need to install the med res folder?
  4. anyone know how i can get the rings on saturn as show by the showcase images they dont seem to appear for me.
  5. Thank you for your help I managed to get the icon on the toolbar mod but am still unable to put it on the ksp toolbar which is inconvenient but at least works unlike last time.
  6. https://www.dropbox.com/s/5i97otozeqb78rf/Log.txt?dl=0 toolbar for KCT not appearing KSP log
  7. For some reason the KTC tab doesnt appear in the toolbar. Anyone else having this problem and if so how to fix it. KSP .25 32-bit
  8. How do you get the rings on saturn as show by the picture?
  9. Thnx it works now. Also how come the newer version takes so much more ram than 8.1. I was running a good 20+ mods on 32-bit with full textures and had no problem. I don't see how 8.2 differs to much from 8.1 in the changelog
  10. I don't think so since first of all I have 32GB of ram so ksp is using the full 3.2 GB of ram and also when I lower the version down to 8.1 it works fine with the 8192 which is what I am using when I crash.
  11. I keep crashing whenever I install the newest version of RSS (8.2.1) the loader in the startup screen gets to 6/17 and then crashes. KSP version:25.0.642 Windows 8 32-bit log: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ptvuteb7bf2equf/output_log.txt?dl=0
  12. This is a thread were I want to post my suggestions on what I think ksp needs. I absolutely love this game it is so great. I have been playing ksp for quite some time now and i'm starting to love certain aspects of it. However most of these features are incomplete or just not meant to be implemented which saddens me. Terrain One of my favourite aspects of ksp are the planetary bodies it is so fun to go out to a planet EVA your kerbal and swim in Eve's oceans or laugh at Eeloo's weird texture it is so fun to jump and look at crates and weird terrain while also trying to find easter eggs scattered across the planets. What i would like to see is an improvement on this I want to see interesting terrain and "events" such as volcanos, geysers maybe some planets having some kind of snow that kerbals walk slowly on and sink into it. A great example of this is the moon europe that orbits jupiter it is really cool as snow is created by geysers that lift up water into space turn it to snow and then stacks up in layers to create a snowy surface which leads me to weather on planets which would be so cool storms that you have to avoid and also snowstorms, sandstorms, heavy rain, acid rains, tornadoes the possibilities are endless first of all this would act as a beautiful for scenery and it would also make landing and EVA's much more restricted but mostly just for the amazing view that you get when you look out of your window and most of all I would really like caves that you can send rovers into to search the depth of the planets which would add an absolutely huge amount of new things to explore and maybe even sometimes finding interesting stuff that I'm sure squad can think of that would be in there such as bottomless ravines that seem to never end, lava lakes and maybe even a whole ocean in what seemed to be a deserted planet but underneath astronomic units of liquid oceans to swim in. Science I was so happy in the update where science came it made the game so much harder and so much more enjoyable for me as I needed to work harder and i would feel better after achieving my own goals. However the system is awfully unbalanced there is enough science in the kerbin system alone to finish the tech tree which is kind of dumb. You would think that You would complete the tree after going to the farthest reach of the solar system but apparently not. Science is highly unbalanced and needs to be toned down alot. Discovering What I don't like in ksp is that you know where all the planets are that just spoils the fun it would be really fun to add some kind of telescope that you would have to look around in space for a while and find a planet then you would lock the telescope onto that planet so that it would follow it and gather the body's orbit information which you could now see on the map. You would start with the ground telescope that is in KSC to look for the moons of kerbin and later on as you progress through the tech tree you get telescopes that you have to send to send in orbit which will see further. This would be a really cool aspect and would finally add a use to space probes. Kerbals To me kerbals are a big part of this game they are fun to throw into the mun toss into the sun test if they can survive a 5 ton hammer hitting them and various other fun things to do. It would be really nice to see them be more developed. I would like to see new space suits, suits that you can buy using money and equip onto kerbals so that they can survive different climates and planets be it the supreme heats of moho or the bone chilling colds of Eeloo and maybe even weather resistant this would be a really cool implementation as those numbers appearing on the thermometre that nobody reads would finally have a use and would also make people send probes there first rather than sending a kerbal there head first into dangers. And eventually maybe have a kerbal tech tree to upgrade certain aspects of kerbals or even add new ones using science points. Kerbol The one thing that I noticed when i was chucking a kerbal into the sun (for science!) I saw how undeveloped the sun is(kerbol) There is no texture on it and it is just there for nothing really other than to make the game realistic. I would like to see the sun have a dynamic surface where it moves like a liquid and for it to have sun spots that appear and disappear during the years(in game) and also for the sun to have a period where it has more sun spots and creates more solar flares. I would also like to see solar flares created by the sun that mess up probes and any technology that it hits and you have to send a kerbal there to fix it which adds a new level to gameplay.
  13. The probablem with FTL travel(I hate the idea of warp drives) is we don't know how todo it yet we got a theory but how to make it happen is out of the question. Second problem is that its not in the spirit of KSP warp drives are way too easy to use ksp ussualy makes you cry when you fail something forget to save and have todo it again. However thats what makes it enjoyable a simple burn with a warp drive to a star seems way too easy for my liking. Never liked the idea of timewarp but i dont think they should make it too much longer if going into interstellar travel part of the challenge is to wait and also to make ways to get there quickly and to keep our kerbals alive(when some kind of life support system gets added into the game.) Maybe you could make a orion style rocket by docking parts and somehow exploding to create thrust
  14. I know it is possible todo it but i dont know how to i looked through the config but i cannot find anything anyone know how to add mods to the techtree
  15. I've been playing a bit of space engineers and i've accualy been thinking about KSP alot. as of now you can only be in 3rd person and the controls are a bit messed up to those who are FPS players. Personaly fps would make my life much easier since i do play quite a lot of FPS games. However this could bring so much new stuff to the game like tilting your kerbal and even jetpack upgrades. For example as of now the jetpacks are very un manoeuvrable, maybe if you follow the tech tree you get better jetpacks that are either stronger or more 'manoeuvrable'. i personaly think this could open alot to the EVA aspect of the game. thanks for reading
  16. for some reason it seems like mods are unstable and i can only seem to download one mod withought the game crashing or weird stuff happening like the kraken. Since I havent been able to get very far in the tech trees i'm wondering if the tree gets messed up because of more than 1 mod.
  17. People Have been asking for multi-core support and ram usage and I don't get why they are being so fussy about it. There is no bad thing about upgrading ram other than using up some time on it. Ram upgrading would help both sides the devs and us. Adding more Ram would add more possibility to the game make it easier to add more stuff and also be more free with what they want to add. On our perspective we could have bigger spacestations bigger mun(its MUN for god sake)bases and less lag to worry about. Yes the dev's think that theres no need yet and that they would rather work on other stuff than this but. It would be a great help in the future and would stop those lag stutters. P.S I am a victim of this problem as i cannot continue me beautiful space station cause of too many parts
  18. now then let me teach you some "science" Jupiter is made up of mostly helium and hydrogen making the planet "star like" now then Jupiter has humongous pressure and gravity. Now then when you compress hydrogen into a small enough space it creates "liquid hydrogen" there are other ways of making liquid hydrogen but this is one way. also a "rocky core" doesn't involve being made out of basalt or granite or any other type of rock when you say a "rock" in scientific terms it can range from "normal rock" to iron nickel ect.. now then gasses tend not to be very heavy even if there is a lot of it. it is very hard for it to come together. If there is too much it turns into a star if it isn't enough it turns into nothing and if its in between it turns into a brown dwarf. Modern theory suggests that a normal earth sized planet attracted or even stole some gas from its parent star. Accual calculations suggest that if there was only gas to begin with first of all Jupiter wouldn't be as big as it is and secondly it is very rare that high enough concentrations of gas were left around when the star was formed. This cant be a rare phenomena as there are 2 gas giants in our solar system and there are gas giants in every solar system(almost). my last proof is the materials in the clouds of jupiter there are much heavier elements in the clouds other then helium and hydrogen if it was made out of gas completely planet collision wouldnt have been possible thus the high amount of other resources in the clouds of jupiter would be impossible as a planet would just pass through it and leave very little resources
  19. That is not true jupiter doesnt have nearly enough gas in it to have such a big gravitational influence and also be so big it is not strange that it would have a rocky core it might even have a molten core for all we know but two things are certain jupiter has a rocky core and it has a sea underneath the clouds since there are so many cloud on jupiter temperatures could be high enough to have some sort of liquid and where there is liquid there is probably life that is whats so interesting about jupiter
  20. Multiplayer might be fun if it doesnt have any time warps maybe they can make some kind of continuation system where you log off and come back the next day and its moved to your desired place if it takes a day to get there they could even make something like mission continuation where the mission continues even after you left it so you can do other stuff while one is going somewhere also people will make some kind of destructable space centre mod that will be fun to make people rage with
  21. I understand that there are a lot of lag reasons in KSP. but like they did with the terrain they had a turn on turn off option. I have a pretty beast computer it might be a good test to see if a few computers can handle it
  22. Meh theres no use in a rival nation the devs already said that they are bitting they're butts off trying to get a multiplayer version of the game working since people wont shut up about it.... When it does come out people will probably make mods on "destructable KSC" that will be alot better also what is the point in a rival KSP if they wont do anything it is really hard to make an autopilot and it doest work all that well or quickly.
  23. In my opinion they should remake gas giants into being able to jump into them with the right materials and also a very skilled pilot. On jupiter there are winds of over 300 miles an hour and humongous tornadoes and storms however it is believed to have a liquid ocean underneath it followed by a ice/rock core if they would make them traversible i would be a happy guy
