  1. Just downloaded today (with help from the lovely viewers of KSPTV) and my first thought was obviously, Thunderbird 3. It's a beast of a ship, 0-60 in less time than it takes to drop a pencil (not kidding, it's acceleration is insane.), and I owe it to this mod! first mod I've downloaded too. I think it's the go-faster stripes that did it...
  2. okay, I gotta ask. I know, dead horse yada yada, but can you give me a schematic for the experimental slipstream drive you spoke of? I want to see if I can stabilize it. if the effect is still present in 1.0 that is.

Indeed, at what point does a mod stop being a mod? i agree that it is like ripping the heart out, but then i want the mod to be unique. something completely new and different. i'm glad you like those two points though. i'm serious. it's possible, more than, and if then if no-one steps forward to aid in it's creation, i will have to compile it from existing mods. and i am a game dev, ask Sooperevee if you don't believe me. working on a VRMMORPG. it's just the way KSP is programmed, a little out of my area.

But that's enough about me, you all clicked this link because you thought: "Yamato? that was a good anime... MMO you say? Interesting..." well, let me tell you about my project. Yamato Online will be a mod, or more specifically mod pack, that turns KSP into a first person MMO set on a huge-ass ship, drifting off into deep space. Truth is, i can't mod, only compile mod packs. If there are ANY developers who would be interested in working on Yamato Online, please do make yourselves known. Yamato Online features: Our lovable (customisable) kerbal friends as player models MMO scale Procedural generation for planets none of that planetary motion BS a truly massive ship if you have any other ideas for features, please do comment. thanks for your time, Proasek.
  5. this planet was split into millions of small pyramidal chunks that now float in the upper stratosphere of the star, appropriately named by the Zerbals: "The Zerbol Skylands". as a result of the home world being destroyed by Zeus, many more islands were added in to the mix, along with the five floating continents that were the main of the planet. it was rather quite close to it's sun, you see.

  7. I notice that you named the resource kethane, no doubt for the real-world biological compound methane. However, I have done some research in the matter and, assuming the kerbal space program uses liquid hydrogen + liquid oxygen fuels and hydrazine as a mono-propellant, I would say that kethane is closer to nitromethane, chemical equation CH(3)NO(2). Make of this information what you will, I doubt such matters crossed your mind as you created this altogether rather useful mod.

  16. sorry for the late reply, havn't been on in a while. anyhow, i place a jr docking port down, then an ion impulse engine, inline xenon gas tank and finally another port. it's also surrounded by 8 RTGs. THAT is an Ion pulse torp.
  17. I can't take screenshots in-game so i can't show you, but i adapted my 'Unity SSTO' into a carrier of a small refueling station

I couldn't help but notie that the R&D companiess on this forum have been lax in their research so i created my own little company to remedy this: Company name: Armegedon Weapon Testing Labs Ltd. Company bio: After years of idly developng things for big brands like 'Rockomax' and 'Spaceship Parts Co.', a band of engeneers began developing things for space programs, using old parts to make new modules! Allegiance: none, just parts... no part at the moment, but i think i'm on the verge of creating replacable hull segments and ion pulse torps...
