Prepped mothership and lander for mission to Duna (hope I packed enough snacks for Jeb). Undocked both from Olympus station and docked them together ready to go. Large picture in spoiler
-
Ever wonder what goes on inside Jeb's head when going to space?

Sat in my portable Kethane miner on Minmus waiting for the orbital refueling station to pass overhead for a rendezvous
-
Come on Steam, was hoping to stream this tonight.
-
Finished off my mission to the moons of Jool to do science. Managed to do a flyby on all 5 before sending my probe crashing into Jool itself and got a ton of science for it.
-
I scared myself half to death doing aerobraking in Jool's atmosphere. Was almost certain I wasn't going to make it back to orbit but made it at the last moment.

Today I sent a manned mission to Duna to do some science. However I ran out of RCS fuel when docking my capsule back with it's mothership so had to dock without RCS. Hardest thing I've ever had to do on KSP and hope I never have to do it again.

Since the command module decided to fall off my Kethane tanker but I realised I still had a remote guidance unit on board from before it was adapted from being a mobile Kethane miner so I decided to send it on a 1 way trip to Eve for practice. Then I sent up another Kethane tanker to replace the broken one. But once it landed on the Mun and got fueled up it refused the lift off, engines on full it was just sitting there on the surface and I know that its got enough power to lift off as it's done it before.

I'm trying to land my fuel tanker close to my Kethane mining facility but on first landing attempt I can within 1km if I'm lucky. Are there any tricks to get closer on 1st attempt or is it just practice practice practice? I'm trying to land on the Mun if it makes any difference. BTW I'm trying to make it from Mun to 60km orbit using 1x Rockomax X200-16 Fuel Tank with 2x Rockomax X200-32 and 3 x Rockomax X200-16 Fuel Tank. Do you think this is a bit too ambitious? Don't mind going a bit over but would like it to be worth the trip
-
Wow, my early attempts look tame in comparison

Let's just say Kerbin has a lot more craters thanks to me

Most important lesson you've learned in KSP?

Taking off retrograde when your docking target is traveling prograde is the least efficient way to reach your target. -

I finally completed my Kethane refinery on the Mun. No more power issues and can actually store enough fuel to make it worthwhile. Just need to build something now to get the fuel up to my refueling depot in Munar orbit. After that I'm thinking I might launch my first interplanetary mission since I'll then have the infrastructure to refuel in space.
