[1.05] Extensive Engineer Report (v0.5) Available on CKAN
MooseCannon replied to jkortech's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
This is really cool! I have a couple of ideas to contribute: Radial parts and no struts on them. Notice. In VAB; TWR < 1. Warning. Using BD Armory: part has weapons but no weapon manager. Notice. Using BD Armory: part has weapon manager but no flares. Notice. Using BD Armory: part has autopilot but no weapon manager. Notice. -
[1.1] BDArmory v0.11.0.1 (+compatibility, fixes) - Apr 23
MooseCannon replied to BahamutoD's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
I love this mod; my KSP aeronautics builds aren't complete without it. However, it can be a little frustrating that many parts are too big for Mk 1 since it's what many of the realistic mod cockpits are designed for. Are you planning on adding TweakScale support at some point? As an example: two AMRAAM-size missiles fit comfortably in tandem on a real F-15: but in KSP, on an F-15 sized to Quiztech's Eagle cockpit, just one fits in the same space. -
In 1.0 I get a really weird bug using VV; the module is upside down. It also flashes, doesn't display vessel, and is unresponsive. Other modules work fine.

Kerbs, Allow me to present the Strike Eagle: The finest in rocket-sabotaging hardware, the Strike Eagle was most definitely made by the lowest bidder, in fine Kerbal tradition. Stocked with 4 AMRAAMs, 4 Sidewinders, and 250 rounds of ammo, this dogfighter will see you through the best explosions anyone's ever tried to introduce your EVA suit to. Download it here at http://kerbalx.com/MooseCannon/F-15E-Strike-Eagle

There was a point in time where you modeled a short-nosed Mk1 cockpit and a long-nosed version (which you just added, and it looks awesome!). I was just asking if it was possible to also get the short-nosed version if it's not too much work. Yeah if Quiznos picked up the Oblong form-factor from Firespitter, I would be the happiest of campers.

@katateochi I've noticed that Part Mapper doesn't recognize the B-9 Procedural Wing pack: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/104966-0-90-B9-Aerospace-Procedural-Parts-0-33-Updated-07-02-15 As separate from the B-9 Mod as a whole. This could be confusing to lots of people! Anything we can do about it? Moose -

Of my craft, ones with moving parts tend to get downloaded more. Obviously, I have a tiny data set so it might be meaningless. I mean, my next plane is an A-10 that works in FAR so take it all for what it's worth. Have a few site-wide stats, like global downloads over time, mods vs. stock, and VAB vs SPH. Those are all fun. Also think about which stats might inform how people upload. Are tags important? Descriptions? Are pictures helpful? How many is optimal? If you're not sure whether a question is good, think about whether its answer could change user behavior (should I tag?) or whether users will be generally interested in it (SPH > VAB ). If you don't have enough questions, go through the list of things users do and ask what the best way to do them is. Yes please. A little. Whatever the right thing is for the website's design, do it. It'll be even harder to change it in the future. -

You're a scholar and a gentlekerb. And, as I suspected, this new feature revealed an interested trend among my craft! Their downloads are highly correlated with the mechanical complexity of the vessel. My guess is that this means that balancing planes for articulation (swinging wings and VTOL) is hard, and everyone knows it. -
[1.1.2]AoA Tech Aviation Parts Ver. 1.3.5 PRE 04MAY2016
MooseCannon replied to martinezfg11's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
If you were to make fighter plane style cockpits and nose cones in the Mk1 and Oblong (Firespitter) form factors, I would be exceptionally grateful. Mocking those parts up is a huge time sink when you're making realistic planes! -

I have two small requests: First, could we get a Downloads per View Stat? Yes I know that it's simple both for us to do in our heads and for you to add, but it's the number I care most about. Second, I believe you're now past 900 craft, which sounds cooler than 800. Update dat original post through? -
Introducing the V-23 King Fisher! Like a V-22, but without pesky details like being able to take off down a runway, the finest in paramilitary transport. http://kerbalx.com/MooseCannon/V-23%20King%20Fisher

People have been asking for downloads, so here's where you can find them! http://kerbalx.com/MooseCannon/craft Unfortunately, the Falcon (and possibly B-9 Proecdural) mods are uncommon enough that KerbalX doesn't recognize them. And I can't run PartMapper until I install WINE because Macs. So it'll be a little while.

I hadn't heard about it, but it sounds really cool! 0.90 made it too easy to make awesome planes, I wouldn't know what to do without the challenge.
