  1. MechJeb version 2.5.8 (the only mod I have) KSP Version 1.1.3 (Have not upgraded so I can use MechJeb.) W 8.1, GTX 1080, 16 GB Memory (Still plenty of crashing with a large rocket. Go figure.) Anyway, the moment I hook up MechJeb I get a build warning (orange triangle), "Command module faces the wrong way." Of course the warning goes away the moment I disconnect MechJeb. It matters not where I place MechJeb either.
  2. Yea, but I didn't realize I needed to purchase a science calculator to go with the game. Yes it is rocket science after all. lol 8)
  3. Thank you for the tips. I'll be downloading 1.0.5 soon and will also insure the Mechjeb is in tune with 1.0.5 as I always do when updating to a newer version. I never use auto-staging. I always stage manually, especially when using Mechjeb. Thanks again.
  4. I've been playing KSP for a number of years and have come across a problem I can't address myself. I'm in version 1.0.2 with Mechjeb the only mod. I'm using windows 8.1, with lots of memory and graphics muscle. For some reason when Autopilot is engaged or any Maneuver Node is executed, the vehicle will not warp to the node. Even though the aiming 'bar-V-dot' centers on the blue target icon. Also, when it does eventually reach a node, the vehicle simply passes the node without throttling up. And yes, every warp enabling button is lit. Any thoughts?
  5. P.S. I am posting this in Modded. I forgot about that little Mechjeb box I use. Not knowing if there is a way to simply pick up this thread and move it, I'll just restart this in modded. I no longer will come back to this to view, so please, it would be more helpful if you did not post any more helpful answers here. Thank You!
  6. Thanks, brygun , but I'm referring to the throttle itself. This is a functioning, in-orbit vehicle where the throttle and warping are working in every other situation except when a node is involved in 1.0.2.. But I will look into the pointing you mentioned. Thank you!
  7. Rocket In My Pocket You're right, I forgot about the Mechjeb. Changing locations to modded. Sorry you need to take time out from helping others to police my faults. Especially having to defend Baby Jesus. Heaven knows He'll have enough tears in thirty years or so. Hope your around to fend those off as well. Thank you!

  9. Rdivine, I never could bring up the Debug Toolbar with just F12 (Notice I use the correct name now?) only Ctrl+F12. BUT.... Your suggestion of Fn + Alt + F12 did work, though only now with several fast repeating pressing of all three keys. Go figure. Thank you Sir, now I can push on with my rescue of Bob, Jeb and Bill! Thank you all for your helpful effort!
  10. swjr-swis ,I first picked this game up when it was free and before I knew Steam existed and received all version upgrades through KSP. But I will look into the Steam settings anyway (I value all opinions) and double check the KSP settings as well. The F12 key does work in other instances so a broken key isn't an issue. Thanks sal_vager asked, " OSX? Linux? Windows? The shortcut is different on the different platforms, so it'd help to know which you are using." Am holding back on repeat answers. Thank you for you time, sal_vager, it's appreciated!
  11. I've been playing KSP for a number of years and haven't come across a problem I couldn't address myself, except for now. I can no longer bring up the Hack(?) sheet, like for infinite fuel, through Alt+F12 for a while. I'm in version 1.0.2 using windows 8.1, and with lots of memory and graphics muscle. Any thoughts? Even if I might be in the wrong section.
  12. Hi, Using a weak Aspire 5745 laptop (replacement for a fried desktop), I've been putt-puttin my way into space here since Aug-2013, all the way to 0.90. Often getting 1 Kerbal second of flight for every 10-20 seconds sitting in front of the screen for all but the relatively simple stuff. Now I'm fortunate to have a new desktop with a fine cpu, lots of ram, SSD, a GTX 980 connected to a 27" - 1ms - 144Hz monitor. I expected great things! I saved long enough for them lol. Here's the thing. Since I loaded Kerbal Space Program - 1.0.2.842 (WindowsPlayer) I cannot get KPS out of 3D! After I turned off 3D in the graphics card (active), passive appeared to have kicked in (red & green). Searched everywhere I could think of in the card's Control Panel, nothing more than I already switched. I hunted in the game as well and nothing "3D" was mentioned. So that it. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks! p.s. If this is in the wrong place to post this, let me know and it'll be moved. - - - Updated - - - I was able to fix this issue. Thanks for any time put into it.
  13. I'm trying to figure this out as well (in 25.0 and 0.90). On the launch pad, I imagine your stages do not list on the left either. This same problem occurs when I hook up the Netherdyne S1 Garden Module also. Pls let me know if you find the cause/fix.
  14. Thank you for the speed and specific info of your reply!!! LOL I thought .25 was the most recent version having just downloaded it several weeks ago. I just looked and saw the .90 version. If you're still there, I have one last question, if you will; Every version I've installed caused the loss of all prior files, records and ships from the prior version (do to my inexperience of course). Could you or another offer some insight for a smoother installation of a version upgrade? If this is the wrong location for this question, please point me in the right direction. I don't wish to make waves.
  15. I'm using KSP V: 0.25.0 and downloaded the active texture management but haven't installed it yet, not knowing where to. I've downloaded [0.90] B9 Aerospace | Release 5.2.8 (updated 30.12.14) as well and haven't installed it either for the same reason. A little help please. Yes, I'm one of the slower ones so have a bit of pity and patience.
  16. Apparently the older version 1.9.8 doesn't work in the older KSP 0.20.1 either. At least in my sys. This game used to be fun, at least for the short I've had it for.
  17. There was an important leave-out. My apologies. From the start I used a Saitek X52-Pro joystick and throttle w/o problems as well until this issue. As an update, I once again reloaded the game (0.21.1 version), this time not assigning the Saitek this time and the SAS & RCS is functioning. I'll need to reload the mods next and then the Saitek to see where it sets. Will accomplish that as soon as I can and post it here.
  18. Hi Guys & Gals I've been playing this game for a couple of months. First starting with the 0.20.2 version and all worked well enjoying it from git to go! I then saw some videos regarding MechJeb 1.9.8 and in my game it went. That worked as well. a while later my game made me aware of a recent KSP update (0.21.1). I put that in and all the extra parts became available. Cool! Getting used to things, I thought, On YouTube I noticed a video with a link to the Kerbal Spaceport to download [0.21.1] KW Rocketry v2.5 try my hand at at the larger rockets. Somewhere along the line something went awry. No matter which, where or how I place an SAS module, it will not light up or function before during or after launch when it's selected, as well as the RCS. The Mechjeb, which worker fine before will now only give me bits of info during ascent autopilot, otherwise will not function either. The camera functions are off their rocker as well. The cameras will not remain in position when 'V' keyed to the desired aspect. Ive deleted everything KSP on my system and tried reloading it. I've tried reloading the original version I joined with (0.20.2) alone, to loading 0.21.1 alone. No mods or anything. I'm completely baffled. Any ideas will be respectfully appreciated! Meanwhile I'll continue to try to locate delete and reload in hopes to get it to normalize.
  19. Came across this game a couple of months ago and hit a bone that was close to the surface several decades ago. Back in the 60's & 70's (70's mostly) I built rocket kits, sometimes designing my own rockets. The last rocket I designed/built was 8' tall including lander. I had too much effort built into this just to send it a few hundred feet up, nor to loose it to winds aloft with the chutes. So this is what I built... At it's heart, was a very rudimentary alt transmitter, and a model plane receiver for 1 top of ark servo action and 1 lower altitude action. At it's peak altitude, 3 black powder charges would be ignited to; 1) The lightest charge, push rocket body chutes out 4 ducted 3/4" thick fins of the main stage. 2) This, the largest charge, was in a re-enforced section below the slip-fitted lander, with the propellant in a honeycomb setup so it wouldn't "pool" into a pile or away from the igniter, push out the lander. 3) Placed in a tube atop the lander would push away from the lander while expelling a small drogue chute tethered to the lander to keep it upright while keeping it from gaining too much speed, but not too slow to insure that it kept relatively close to the launch area. One C engine was mounted at the center of the lander so at several hundred feet from the ground it was ignited to provide a quick speed reduction & to blow out the main chutes. To keep battery weight down I took apart a mechanical flashbulb of the era to ignite the engine. The lander had gear that pivoted out when ejected from the main body of the rocket and a sprung, inward bending knee hinge to absorb what the chutes left for them. That was nearly 40 years ago and my last venture into rocket designing, till now. Glad to be here!
