  1. There are a few parts in mind that i always thought would have great use in the game. 1. A engine with a very large gimbal range. This would be very useful in things like shuttles and SSTOs. 2. A larger version of the BACC SRB. Another thing useful for shuttle type rockets. also this would be 2.5 meter with about the same or more thrust then a mainsail. 3.A larger nuclear engine engine, such as the one in KSPX. 4.C7 parts with oxidizer.
  2. Oh didnt notice on the wiki how it said meter scale and actual size, well by going like that i meant 4 meter so that would be 3.75 Meters in actual size.
  3. Right now in ksp there is 3 tiers which sounds good. I feel like there is really 2 tiers though. If you think about it .5 meter parts are just too small for any good use in rockets, they are for satellites probes and other small things. Im not saying that they make a good upper stage but there really needs to be a "real" 4th tier like 4 meter parts. Another Problem i frequently have with just 2 "real" tiers is that i can only put multiple rocket engines on 2 meter parts. You might not understand what i mean but ill explain. Lets say i have some LV-T45's, to make rockets look cooler and better i would get a 2 meter parts and put 3,4,5 or more underneath it. Its nice because you don't need mods and its just cool looking. It also helps if you don't have mainsails in career mode yet. Now if there was a step up like 4 meter parts now i can put 4 skippers on one and a mainsail in the middle, its like i have my own Saturn V without addons. Also another reason this would be useful is because of the booster issue. KSP at the moment has its own thing with flying. Instead of building more vertical stages people build horizontally with boosters. This is unrealistic and one of the reasons why it has to happen is because of how there are only 2 "real" sizes. If there were 2 then i could put MK1-2 command pod on top with some 2 meter parts then the main booster could be a 4 meter one. I really hope this is looked into for the sake of realism and just better gameplay, i know i could just download kw rocketry but i want to play legit kerbal space program, not with mods.

Anyways here are some pics and the end result, btw i think it looks like the Titan II or is that just me? Flight really took like 4 and a half minutes but that was after checking the time before reverting to the vab
  5. I've been trying to mod ksp with a decent amount of modding experience, having made mods on mincraft and knowing a little java and some c++. I am completely lost though for modding on ksp. I could not find a single tutorial that stated on how to make a model, even the one on this discussion has the first step as "put in the model" which makes no sense what so ever, anyways i made it a decent way when i found this tutorial at http://www.alternatewars.com/Games/KSP/Tut1/KSP_Tutorial_1-3.htm. I was modding with blender made everything and had my collision meshes and textures then exported the dae file. I then put that in a folder with the mesh folder and the texture folder with the texture. When i loaded the game though it simply did nothing. The person who made this tutorial had an example which i then tried and it worked fine. Things were very strange though. When i removed all the files from the mesh folder which supposedly are supposed to generate on there own the part generated had the same textures as my part! what is going on??? I then tried multiple other things to get it to work and all have failed. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OR SEND ME TO A TUTORIAL THAT WILL ACTUALLY HELP ME?!??!?!!? What am i doing wrong???:(
  6. I decided to make this pole because i want to know what other people think about them adding next. Personally i would love to see new planets and possibly stars systems. Just imagine somehow getting to another star, obviously with the distance scaled down to only a fraction of a light-year probably less. So what do you guys think?

  8. For some reason when ever i go to kerbol i never get heat damage. I can fly straight into it and i explode first. BTW by kerbol i mean the sun if you dont know . So can someone please tell me why because i thought it was supposed to.
  9. Ive been playing Kerbal Space Program for about a month now and its the game I've always wanted since i was like 5, the game is just awesome. Anyways i thought of something cool that i think would be great for the game. It has to do with the upgrade tree. I was thinking what they should do is add different tiers of upgrade trees. Each time you go up a tier you unlock a completely new upgrade tree while keeping the old. I was thinking of something like 4 tiers, 3 main tiers and one last pretty much "super hard" "beat the game" type of tier. These tiers would also be locked into different science experiments you could do. These tiers though would have to do with how far you have gone... in the galaxy. I know this sounds crazy but space engine did it but this is much different the galaxy would not even be even close to real life size. It would compose of lets say 100 stars and only about 20 to 30 of them have a decent amount of planets probably much less than the local kerbol system. the rest would just be things like red giants, main sequence stars, maybe even pulsars or neutron stars. This distance could be shortened too in between. In the center of the galaxy there could be a black hole too with many stars around it maybe like 20. Everything is already smaller in ksp so a "miniway" could be pretty cool. Anyways with the tiers it would work like this. First teir would deal with going around the solar system with liquid and solid fuel rockets and ion thrusters which are the basics. To complete this tier you would have to go do experiments on all of the planets. Then the next tier would have the better nuclear rockets and orion nuclear pulse engines. In this teir you would explorer other stars and solar system. The third you would get anti matter power which you would use to do experiments like going to dangerous things like white dwarfs, neutron stars, using special equipment from orbit to do science things with them. Then the last would be a warp drive which you would unlock by gaining orbit of the black whole in the center of the galaxy would be extremely hard, not to mention extremely expensive. Even if non of this stuff is ever added a challenge or some mods could be made. Im pretty sure squad planned different solar systems though so that should be helpful. Anybody else got ideas for ksp?
