  1. System: Kubuntu 14.04 64 bit, Video: AMD 6770m with open-source drivers.

    Problem: There are no shadows of spacecrafts on the planets, and it's hard to perform precise landing. I got some mods previously, but I reinstalled the game from steam (I think, this should have reverted all configs?). Even if all video settings are at their maximum, there are no shadows (no shadows on terrain and no self-shadowing on the ships, should they be? However, flat shading is on it's place). The only fix I've found on this forum is Intel-related and most likely won't help in my situation. What can I do to diagnose and fix my problem?

  2. Lets assume that we dont discover any alien life in our solar system, so there are no concerns of protecting local biosphere of alien worlds.

    What do you think of deliberately sending special geneticly engineered lifeforms to these worlds? Im not thinking particurally about some terraformation, just plant some life in europa oceans, mars decerts, maybe even some designed to live in clouds of gas giants? Or even inside rocks of airless worlds?

    Just because. Maybe someone done something similar in the past to our planet?

  3. Me too, I have played most of the way through career mode without mods just for fun, but now I want my mechjeb back. All I'm getting is data, no autopilot functionality at all. Frustrating.

    Hi, IMHO a short review of KSP/Parts/MechJeb2_AR202/part.cfg brings up that you have to unlock these capabilities first in the "Research Center" of KSP.

  4. What an amazing craft, and an amazing post, with the video, pictures, etc.! Great work!

    Tested in FAR...can take 2 full orange tanks to 100km orbit. VERY difficult to control but can take twice the payload if you want to put in the extra effort. Note: if the altitude starts to drop at any time, switch to rocket mode until it starts to rise, then switch back to air breathing.
