  1. Nacelles aren\'t connecting where they should, now. Also, the .craft file doesn\'t load the ship. It flips nose over thruster as soon as you launch, and plows right into the ground. Good going...
  2. I think this is the warp nacelles, but the Phoenix keeps wanting to roll to the right, even out of the atmosphere...I noticed they\'re reading as fins, which makes no sense. Can\'t you rescript them as true engines? The ship looks nice, and I love the Magic Carpet Ride soundbyte, but it\'s not exactly functioning as advertised. And yeah, fix the rolling problem. That\'s a real pain.
  3. Attached are screens of said breakage, and this was AFTER I cranked up collision into the thousands for each part...
  4. I love this, but I don\'t like how it comes apart unless I come straight down on final approach. Any kind of lateral movement (which appears to be unavoidable) causes the engine to break off the fuel tank. The tank then flips upside down and the pod snaps off during the roll. Nothing explodes, but I was under the impression that a Type-40 TT capsule was sturdier than that.
  5. Holy crap, you\'re actually doing it. You have some impressive observational skills, being able to replicate that rocket so closely. I would happily send the Kermans to their collective dooms on that.
  6. I was gonna say that same exact thing. That, or the Aries Ib from 2001: A Space Odyssey (from which the idea of B-tech dropships was borrowed).
  7. Actually, they dislike Matt Smith because he ISN\'T David Tennant. Tennant brought wave upon wave of screaming fangirls.
  8. Using what I\'ve learned from the Mk.1 and its variants, I now present the improved Excalibur Mk.2! Thanks to a recent appropriation of MoachCraft Amalgamated Components rejects and stuff that fell off the back of the Silisko Industries Doughnut Research & Spacecraft Development delivery truck, we now have a compact SAS controller, heat shield, escape tower, and compatible parachute! Oh, and I don\'t think I ever quite explained the 'noncomulsory multi-stage' part-- it refers to the fact that you don\'t need to drop anything to actually get into orbit. Re-entry and landing might be a problem, though.
  9. My orbit with the Excalibur Mk.1b2. I don\'t remember what the per/apokee were, but they were damn-near identical.
  10. Time for variants! Excalibur Mk.1a- replaces the wingload engines with big fins. Less powerful, but it still looks great. Excalibur Mk.1b- removes the long maneuvering fins to bring back the engines from the base Mk.1, but with more fuel. Retains some improved atmospheric control in the trade. Excalibur Mk.1b2- takes ASAS completely out of the equation, and replaces 2nd stage with a nifty shuttle! With landing gear! Good luck landing it, though!

Yeah, the RCS quads all work just fine, but for some reason, when I set them up on the ASAS, they start firing like crazy... does anyone know if the ASAS modules work against each other when there\'s more than one? Honestly, whether a part is overpowered or not has never bothered me. My two main considerations are aesthetics and stability. Realism is waaaay down the list.
  12. Gentlemen, I present to you what I have found to be my singlemost successful rocket to date: The Excalibur Mk.1 Noncompulsory 3-stage Space Battleship Why is she a Space Battleship, you ask? Because ever since I started building her, I can\'t stop humming the Space Battleship Yamato themesong. So shut up.
  13. You misunderstand... those are just pictures of spacecraft in Fallout games. I added them to my post to hint at what Vaccer should try to make.
  14. I am LOVING the UFO parts, but I think more hull types would be the next step. In fact, why not a UFO pack? Modeling would be a snap, since they never have much detail. At the very least, one of those classic 3-blister types would be great. Oh, and would it be possible to make an 'instant stop' brake? UFOs are known(ha) to stop and change direction in midair, so how about a super-strong SAS module that stops all movement?
