  1. Whatever the experiment you get the same total amount by recovering or transmitting. There's a total of gatherable science defined for each experiement, partly defined by scienceCap (the other variable must be in source code, as it's not in ScienceDefs.cfg. Let's call it scienceStock. When you experiment, you observe scienceStock*(baseValue/scienceCap) When you recover/transmit, what you really get is deduced from scienceStock. So no matter if you transmit/recover, only what you really get will be deduced, and the remaining science will be used for next observation.
  2. The only thing I found about these is that when you observe something you get the following number of points: ScienceStockBefore * (baseValue/scienceCap)
  3. I've unlocked everything that would give a new science sensor before anything else. The idea was to get every sensors before I start far travels. But if you don't mind repeating same travel several times, you could take a more even advance going tier per tier
  4. Did anyone find the formula for the initial possible science stock for each experiment ? So far I have found that: Observable = StockBefore * baseValue/scienceCap Recovered = Stock * baseValue/scienceCap * RecoveryPercentage (rounded to nearesy 0.1) Stock after = StockBefore - [stock * baseValue/scienceCap * RecoveryPercentage] RecoveryPercentage being 100% for return to kerbin, xx% for transmission depending on type But I can't find the calculation of initial science stock. Could it be relative to distance from KSC ? That would explain the giant amount gathered when orbiting the Sun
