[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
Knobby replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I clicked some buttons (sorry can't be more specific) in the FAR menu at KSC screen and now the 2nd tab (aerodynamic failures?) is completely empty. I can't see the other tabs (literally an empty window) so i can't even go back to the other screens. How do i reset it? Uninstalling and reinstalling via CKAN does not fix it.- 14,073 replies

[0.90]NEAR: A Simpler Aerodynamics Model v1.3.1 12/16/14
Knobby replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Just started a new career in 0.90 with NEAR, and my very first rocket consisting of nothing more than a pod and booster has a delta-v of 2.8km/s and reaches an apoaps of 422km.... is this supposed to be like that? I've been playing with NEAR or FAR since .22 and i don't remember it ever doing this. -
Is it me or is there no actual download for the double nerva?

I've searched the thread but can't find anything on this. I've encountered a bug with the D-30f7 engines. When i put them on a craft they break the center of mass indicator (as in it no longer shows). VERY annoying when trying to build a plane, especially since they are my preferred engine... Also, they don't light up on mouse over (or when assigning action groups) and when you take them off a craft and put them aside they don't become transparent.

love how those launching clamps stay up like an empty husk!

I'm not sure what your feelings about mods are, but here's one that might help you: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/kerbal-joint-reinforcement/ Basically what this does is it makes joints between stuff (like tanks) less wobbly, so you need less struts etc to make it rigid. Anyway, i'm following this to just to see how far you can push KSP

Sounds like that can be tuned by changing the sliders: -

Set controlgroups on ship/station already in flight
Knobby replied to Knobby's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Works like a charm! Tnx -
He's starting to suffer from a combination of cabin fever, space madness and road rage. Jeb is currently stuck in a rover together with Bob on one of poles of Duna. I drove him out there from the lander/ascender on the equator to take a surface sample from the north pole. Then I got bored of driving and started building a space station over Kerbin and an unmanned probe mothership to do remote science on Eve and Ike. (don't kick the baby!) He'll have to wait for that stuff to finish before i'm sending a ship to pick him and Bob up again. They are perfectly capable of getting back on their own, but i just can't be arsed to drive that rover all the way back again.

Is there a way to set the controlgroups on a ship that is already orbitting around Kerbin? I started building my first LKO Refueling Station and just now noticed not all my solar panels are correctly bound to controlgroups... I'd hate to lift and dock all that stuff all over again, so i'd rather just change the controlgroups by editing a savefile or something, but i have no idea where to look. Cheers

great idea, nice tool as well! -
I learned that I have to watch a Scott Manley video before trying out new stuff, saves me a lot of time and Kerbals!
