  1. I've been messing around with lightly modifying KSP for awhile without any goal or purpose. After starting to use unity myself and learning blender, I thought that changing the model used for EVA Kerbals would be a simple but very interesting modification to make to KSP. So does anyone know where one would make that change? I've seen people change the textures of the suits and faces, but haven't seen anyone change the actual model. I imagine it must not be too difficult, mostly just creating a new unity rag doll object, and then telling KSP/Unity to look at the new object instead of the standard one. If anyone could share any information regarding getting KSP/Unity to look in a different location for the EVA Kerbal model, that would be extremely appreciated!
  2. Back a bit over two years ago when .10 came out. It's been so awesome watching KSP evolve, more and more features getting checked off the list, mod authors come and go (I always hoped wolf's pack of parts would come back), and the game get WAY more popular. I'm sure anybody who played back before the map view and even time warp can attest to the fact that KSP played differently before then. Much more math, and guessing, and waiting, when you only had the three basic instruments to rely on. I remember how excited I got when I was waiting half an hour to check the vertical velocity at the apopoapsis/periapsis and verify that I was actually in orbit. It was the best feeling ever.
  3. I'm using Kerbal Data for BARIS-KSP hybrid, does either Kerbal Edit or Kerbal Data support loading saved ships into the world?
  4. Have you tried selecting the capsule and using shift+rotation keys to rotate the whole space ship?
  5. I was making a text-line version of Buzz Aldrin's Race Into Space and got to the mission planning screen and realized that the game could be re purposed to a KSP Campaign turn operator. The conversion would not be difficult. I'm about half done with text-BARIS already and by just switching around a few part names it would be kerbal. Leave out the actual launch simulation and tell people what parts they can use in KSP, and you have a KSP Campaign. It would make a campaign easy to be a part of, attracting more players, and reduce confusion because the program would handle all the number crunching. It would be in Java so it could run on any OS. By adding an AI (not sure how that would work) it would be a single player KSP space race! Even without an AI, a single player KSP campaign could still be fun. I was wondering if anyone is doing or is planning to do a KSP Campaign and would like me to make a program for them!
  6. Oh man this mod is the greatest. An update for it would be the coolest thing ever. And it would be even cooler if there was a Big Gemini released!
  7. With all the flight computers already out it is only a matter of time. I could be as simple as an 'over-computer' that controls and operates ones already out. You could enter a mission plan in the fashion that stages are organized. Each stage could contain several desired commands, such as 'launch to this altitude and inclination' or 'rendezvous with ship X'

  9. I applaud your work! As far as 'you can\'t run an engine on electricity', I don\'t really care if we are violating another rule of physics. If you want realism, go play Orbiter. But couldn\'t you just make a ram-scoop(powered by your new electricity) and use that as a justification for creating fuel? (ram-scoop= coil that creates an immense electromagnetic field and pulls in free-floating ions in space, to be used for fuel or fusion)

  11. Getting off the ground using just Silisko Edition is proving problematic. Bigger is always better, right? This requires NovaPunch, in addition to Silisko Edition and Probodobdyne. It\'s pretty stable (most of the time) Munar Orbit with Fuel tank/ Com Satellite: Mun Surface!

  13. I\'m sorry if I offended anyone by saying 'I wasn\'t sure if this forum was ready'. It was a joke and I\'m sorry if it offended anyone deeply. Also, I am not saying that one is better then the other. They are two VERY different games and each one has its merits and dis merits. I do not want my KSP to turn into orbiter and I do not want orbiter to turn into KSP
