Hope you like the idea, design and concept. Special thanks to Scott Manley for giving me the idea to have another try and making this thing work. DOWNLOADS: Fully Solar: http://www./?xn4v9sbm7y67vll RTG Prototype: http://www./?f9gp9zr7s6mmv4f Helios information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NASA_Helios Firespitter Mod: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/firespitter-propeller-plane-parts/ Taverio's Pizza Mod: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/0-18-1-taverios-pizza-and-aerospace/ Scott Manley: http://www.youtube.com/user/szyzyg RTG Powered Prototype During flight tests this thing flew 1/3 of the way around kerbin, with a max altitude of 18'000m and max speed of 200m/s. Fully Solar powered final craft. Runs at 10FPS with minimal settings, 338 parts, 250 solar panels. I preferred the RTG prototype.

It would be messy and disgusting. Unless of course there was an artificial gravity, then it would be less messy. I don't think being born in 0g would be a problem, but growing up in zero gravity would probably mean that you would never be able to return to earth. You'd be a long fragile 4 legged spider of a human that would collapse under it's own weight because it was never exposed to any sort of consistent pressure. The optimum planetary explorer would probably be an earth born human. Strong, tough and sturdy, but much shorter and thicker than a human born in zero gravity. A strong earth human would be able to handle different gravities, be strong enough enough to move around in bulky hazard suits and thick atmospheres but at the cost of being very heavy in comparison to the space born crew. The optimum ship crew would probably be a planet born human that grew up on a planet then moved to space, so they have the bone strength and functional muscle strength to be able to handle some gravity, or even return to earth, whilst being longer, thinner and lighter so they could move around ships easier and faster whilst also needing less food to survive due to having less muscle and doing less physical work in general.

What is your favourite sci-fi/irl spacecraft, and why?
Asmosdeus replied to Asmosdeus's topic in The Lounge
A couple dead images! Also your yamamoto video has been removed from youtube -
I recommend "The Wrath of Chuck" Crater.

So I've started up a little project on youtube so I have a consistant reason to make videos. My goal is to visit each and every easter egg/anomaly in the game. So now I am simply working on visiting all of the Kerbin Monoliths and Easter eggs, But I was you guys to tell me which extra-terrestrial anomaly I should go for first! Don't say magic boulder, I'm saving that for the final episode. The first 3 episodes I am noticable cranky as I had not gotten any sleep in a good 25 hours. I am not going to make another until I sleep. So tomorrow. Anyway, for all those that are interested, here are the episodes I have published so far. Be warned, I do swear a lot. ---------------------------------- Episode 1: Right under our noses. Episode 2: The Disappearing Monolith. Episode 2: The Subterranean Brick. Here is a Screenshot of the aircraft I will be using from Episode 4 onwards:

I just hit 400 subscribers on youtube, most of which are you guys! So thank you all, I hope to be able to make videos you guys like for a long time Here's a short celebratory video I made: Here's a screenshot for those who aren't in a position to listen to a little blues music:

The Juggernaut of Minmus; My old planet cracker!

As Dictator Dan said, it's a monster! -
The Juggernaut of Minmus; My old planet cracker!
Asmosdeus replied to Asmosdeus's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Thanks If you ever start doing kerbal videos', let me know. I'm always doing shout outs! -
For me it has to be the re-imagined Galactica. There's just something appealing about the battleship like technology, and there's nothing that shows the brutality of war than Big Guns, Steel Hulls and Bare Knuckles.
-
After deciding I hadn't been to minmus in a while, I went there. What I found I almost could not believe. I found my old Juggernaut, The Thor. A 658 part megabuild that I had almost forgotten about. Here's a video on the discovery and ressurrection of the Juggernaut: If you can't watch the video for whatever reason, keep an eye on this whilst I look for screenshots.

[ and Mod Craft] I made an X-33 VentureStar!
Asmosdeus replied to Asmosdeus's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
It kind of does in that screenshot, weird. Not what I was going for. The shape is similar, but the X-33 is much shorter. -

Can anyone confirm that this works properly? -

Boosted the ISP, lowered the thrust, added gimballing. -
[ and Mod Craft] I made an X-33 VentureStar!
Asmosdeus replied to Asmosdeus's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
It's just an aerospike that I cheat modded so that you can fly the venturestar like it was meant to, SSTO. -
Speaks for itself, really. The venturestar is an SSTO lifting body space shuttle that never made it past the small scale model stage despite advanced aerospike engines being developed for it. I made one in kerbal. Stock, it is not SSTO, however I have included a stock boosted version and a version that includes a unique modified aerospike engine. This modified engine does not overwrite the standard aerospike. It features a higher ISP, making it use less fuel. It also has gimballing, at the cost of some power. This doesn't mean it's not a cheat part. Here's a video: If you have any questions, they're probably answered in the video. Oh cool, more are in the works? I'll try to keep these ones alive just in case there are people who prefer them

GOOD NEWS! Because bobcat's legacy cart plugin is distributed under a creative-commons licence, I can include the package so long as I credit him!
-
There is no download because the forum post of a required plugin got deleted, thankfully I had a copy on my computer but I need the mod developers permission to redistribute it with this mod. With any luck, the download will be up by the end of the day.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW! So since the last one was wiped; This is the new thread. I'm making this quick thread just to let you guys know that this update is still around. Everything works. Landing gear, steering, lights and the autostruts. OLD VIDEO DEMONSTRATION: Here's a video showing what this mod is; If you are unfamiliar with it: I am working on a new version that includes all the required plugins. FINALLY THE DOWNLOAD: http://www./download.php?mh9d8hw6rab66bq INSTALLATION: Simply copy the corrosponding folders into your kerbal istallation. For steam users this will be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program IN CASE OF LAG: IF you get lag after placing a few float pairs, try removing some and placing them manually. It is a known problem that too many autostruts causes lag. LICENCE AND DISCLAIMER: The Vanguard Plugin is distributed with Kreuzung's permission; and Bobcat Cart Legacy under a creative commons License. I do not own any of the content in this pack, I merely adapted Tosh's mod to function with the afforementioned plugins with all neccesary permissions.

Yes, but only because everything about it was the coolest thing ever.

I made a second video on my Physics Breakers series! The first one dealt with using control surfaces and winglets to generate thrust from nothing. This one shows how to make an aircraft that ascend to insane altitudes and speeds with only jets, to the point where the plane is flung out to beyond Dres orbit! Here's the video in question: For those interested; Here's part one: For those who would like to know what I am talking about; Here's a picture:
-
I made another one.
-
Give me a second; I'll figure out how to rename it.
