  3. Wow, that is really cool. I would try to build the statue of liberty but alas, I am not nearly skilled enough to even position the capsule under the nose so Jeb crawls out properly....

  7. I have been really enjoying this techtree. I was able to orbit the moon on about the fourth launch. The rocket looked like a silly contraption like if someone built a giant rocket in 1910. Anyways, i have alot of empty nodes. Especially logistics. Im using novapunch and a few smaller ones. Could you give use some recommended mods to fill out the nodes with some return on science without blowing the memory cap? That would be helpful. Thanks! Edit: for instance what do you use to play?
  8. Oh sure. There are several but I use this one: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/53192-0-22-TreeLoader-Custom-Career-Tech-tree-Loader-1-0 There are 4 or 5 trees inside the mod to choose from. I selected Yagnit's and I really like it. It forces you to space quickly as the SP available on Kerbin is very small. Parts are laid out in a way that makes sense. Science cost scales up quickly. There are other trees that are more historical and even harder. I haven't tried any of those though. This one is good for my skill level (which I would say is beginer to intermediate) The stock tree just has stuff thrown into it. To me it's pretty obvious that it's a placeholder until they have time to really flesh it out.
  9. I got a custom tech tree and it has made career much more challenging. You can't max it out in a couple missions.
  10. If there is no loss in conversion, you might as well get rid of all the points and call it one thing, like kerbalbits or something.

  13. So when does the KSP line of Legos come out so my kids can build some KSP rockets? With little Kerbal Lego dudes. That would be awesome.
  14. Ok, I think I get it. Instead of adding to the current tech tree, we could have a Parts Tree, and then a seperate efficiency investment area. We can choose to spend our points and get more parts, or we can choose to spend points on efficiency. Maybe the first 10 points buy you 1% efficiency in an area. Then the next 1% would cost you 15. The 3rd time, it'll cost 22, etc. So a 3% bonus would cost 47 points and continue on a reduced return on investment, forever.
  15. Hello, Not sure how many of you have played Paradox grand strategy games? I am suggesting adding an idea they use for thier tech tree. Efficiencies. For certain tech throughout the tech tree, why not add some efficiency bonuses, in addition to parts? This will give us something else to look forward to. For instance, when you get Stability, you should get a +1% SAS efficiency (1% increase in control). When you get Fuel Systems, you should get a +1% in fuel efficiency. These bonuses would be stackable. So if you got a 1% fuel efficiency 3 times, you actually have a 3% savings in fuel. It's just a suggestion and something additional to look foward to in the tech tree.
  16. I TOTALLY agree. I still think there should be a "survey report" thought. Maybe it's only worth half the points of a crew report. I don't know. I still think it should be there. Especially in the early stages of career mode where it's really difficult to get Kerbals back to Kerbin because parts aren't available.
  17. oh well that sucks. so the only solution is to make sure you have solar panels. What if you have solar panels and you run out of electicity for .001 seconds? Are you still screwed?
  18. One of my favorite missions is to send a satelitte and\or rover to a planet\moon. Now that is not nearly as effective. They really need to create a new "experiment" for unmanned modules like the "crew report". Not sure what you would call it but mission control can take pictures and video remotely and should be able to get science from an unmanned module just by looking around. This would make the probes a little more valueable again.
  19. Hrmm, I only use probes currently. So I cannot explain it. I think with tweakables, I can set up an emergency battery (disable use). I will do that next time so I can enable it, fire engines, then disable it, if I run out of electricity.
