  1. I've done something similar. I built a nice system explorer ship (capable of going from planet to planet). I had built simple small landers and attached them to the ship. Went and got into orbit around Laythe, detached the lander, put Macey Kerman (I think it was him) into it and went and landed. Plopped the flag, got some samples and science, and went to get into orbit. Then I realised that the weight of the decoupler (the "attached" part of it) kept flipping the pod over, as well as the fact I didn't put an antenna on, nor a docking port to redock back to the explorer, if I could get that far. Suffice to say, Macey was a casualty of the mission after impacting into the surface of Laythe :|
  2. That rover is so cute! xD (removed the pics btw to save space)
  3. Currently orbiting Kerbin on my science station (using the KSP Interstellar mod), along with 4 other Kerbals. Tonight I will be transferring the crew to a new ship which is due to do a grand tour of the other planets
  4. When you are excited to come home from 8 and a half hours at work to spend the evening playing KSP
  5. Pretty much as it is in the title, I'm curious as to whether anyone has ever been hit by orbital debris? Like leftover booster stages, fuel tanks, junk, parts, etc. Just wondering if anyone has ever been a victim One of my older stations literally vaporised into several broken parts after I accidentally rested my bottle of beer onto the shift key and fired a KV Rocketry Maverick engine into the centre of the station during an undocking procedure (note to self: disable engines).
  6. Moar struts! And also the fact that saving Jeb, Bob and Bill is worth any amount of other Kerbal lives. Even swapping seats.
  7. My parents used to say this about me when I was younger :| I like to think of Kerbals as little green men and women living life day to day as they come. I don't think they would ever make war against one another (they just seem too friendly...and stupid). I like the idea of their architecture going up instead of out in their towns, but I prefer to think outside those they like curved flowing forms of buildings, almost like plants themselves (though I'm not talking TES Telvanni houses, hate those). I have this picture in my head of a family of Kerbals standing in a field of crops, watching the next big launch into space in the distance. In my mind, Kerbals sit back and enjoy life to the fullest because they have little worry or stress in the world, dreaming of going to space and simply being curious of everything around them, despite the disadvantage of having no common sense
  8. Reading the first post of this article made me lol at work Before I read the rest of that I was thinking you were saying that Jool is using Laythe as a toilet xD
