Except for the fact I can't take off with planes because they steer all the way to the right (Even stock one) running full pack Real Solar System just fine! About the more than one install...
-
I've read the last 4-5 pages and I've not found anyone with the same problem. I've installed this mod back in the 1.1 along Kerbal Konstruct and it did not work. When steam updated to 1.1.1 and RSS was not working I actually had the option to choose the launch pads (In the tracking station) way north to the Kerbal Space Center and Kerbal Kontruct was working in the VAB I could select every launchpad, now that I got back the RSS/RO Pack in 1.1.2 I've downloaded this mod again and I still have the same issue. When I'm in the VAB and I over the "KK" logo of the mod it just says with a green text "Selected launchsite is Launch Pad" and I cannot see the various launchpads on the tracking station. I'll provide images/logs if needed.

SLT is Sea Level Thrust to Weight Ratio, Optimal is from 1.25 to 1.45 i think, lower you'll waste too much dV at start, higher you'll slow down due to aerodynamic drag.

Is there a mod that you couldn't live without?

I guess the whole Real Solar System package. I literally can't play Kerbal without... Kerbin feels way too small... even for planes. -
Well it's true the fact you need a low TWR to get less aerodynamic drag, but you also need a high TWR to lift off.You have to fight generally two components while lifting off. Gravity and the Atmosphere. If you have a low TWR at lift off (i.e. 1.25) your rocket will take some time to take up some speed, meaning you'll burn alot of fuel just to make few kilometers (that is a common fact for heavy lifters, look at the Saturn V) while lighters rockets tends to escape the first part of the atmosphere quickly, such as the Vega, which has alot of TWR. Usually flights reach about 40m/s^2 I believe.

As you guys said, I would make the planets "invisible" like in career, you need to discover the planets, check gravity pull, size of the planet, stuff like that... you observe them from Kerbin, and you study them by orbiting. Kerbals are kinda stupid, right..? That would be interesting. As for the "simulation" thing there's a mod for it... but I like the fact trial and error. The fact I check everything in the VAB, make sure everything will work out and if it doesn't... Apollo 13 mission alike starts.

You should go into orbit not flying around, also that makes it perfect if you're too short for a shuttle-like landing

Stupid me... I didn't though about checking SmokeScreen's thread...
