Mark 1, Version 1 (Suborbital) Mark 1, Version 2 (Suborbital) Mark 2, Version 1 (Orbital - 1 Crew) Mark 3, Version 1 (Tourists - 3 Seats) Etc. Space stations and bases get renamed once on station. Satellites get a special name if they have communication on board so I don't deorbit them accidentally when doing cleanup.

I've loved all the 400's I've worked with. Most reliable boxes I've ever gotten to admin.

For me they're the component testers for the companies that manufacture your parts. You're just picking up the mess from all those no-bid r&d contracts your admin building puts out.

I'm post-Battlestar Galaktika. We're the kerbals that found out that everyone else wanted to go tribal and said "screw that" and restarted their space program.

I stick comm gear on all the satellite contracts I get. Eventually sheer volume of spammed satellites gives me constant coverage, paid for by my launch customers.

Hauling a research station around from Kerbin orbit to Munar orbit then Minmus orbit respectively, then landing it back on Kerbin with all that low and high altitude research.

I think it can. I had a ship blow up when I docked with it yesterday. The service bay I had full of RCS tanks looked like a kid's ball pit had exploded in munar orbit. It had been perfectly fine and stable till it had to reload its physics.

I'm having fun with it. Reentry is terrifying. And there are a few things here and there that need tweaking. But I'm happy with it.
