I recall a mod that either was or just included an ascent autopilot that would test different ascent profiles and then you could accept the best one. Anyone remember that? Thanks

How do you launch to other planets in a non optimal window? Say you want to send a probe to duna on day 1 instead of day 50 or 60, same procedure or are the calculations different?

I thought I remembered reading on the site about a law or theory that addresses adding more fuel and heavier engines and how little you gain from doing that....or I may be mistaken....its been a while.

are there any guesses as to when it may 'wake up' due to increased solar illumination? -
What I see is contract expires in 21h,55m,55s Settings are for Kerbin Orbital period of 1h28m and 1h 20m I have created it via F12 as well...red box every time Totally reinstalled KSP and mods....I saw a duration 1 year on the contract this time...did not see that before, which is strange as I deleted the previous mce file, installed the new one and restarted game. Sorry to have you trying to solve a problem that was on my end.

I keep getting a contract expired when choosing the custom comsat mission. I set the orbital period, set it to true, goto mission control and decline contracts till one comes up, and accept it. As soon as I exit the mission control building I have a red box that says contract expired. I got it in 1.07 and updated last night to 1.08 and it still happens.

Just a thanks to those that posted with info and suggestions. I actually made it into orbit, took a try or 2 but finally made it. Re-entry was an adventure, totally overshot the runway and had to turn around and crashed(definitely not a flight simulator, but no joystick either) -

I usually grab other peoples designs to fly and try to follow their instructions but usually doesn't work out. Usual flight profile is fly to 20k, gain as much speed and punch out with rockets. I understand the concept, but putting into practice is maddening, just looking for a proven plane that isn't finicky...just so I can taste success. Thanks -
In search of a SSTO that is NEAR usable. I suuuuuck at flying ssto but would like to haul a probe(or probe with a kick motor, I like having a purpose of a flight) KAA is about to revoke my license due to the debris fields I have created and just can't get the hang of it even with flight profiles people provide. I either slog to low and slow or don't get enough speed before trying to go rocket mode and run out.

Where would you add an additional ground station? That is what I am trying to do and failing. -

I am not able to make that work, although I am not sure I am putting the next station in the right set of quotes...can somebody post an example of how it should look? Thanks! -
Currently I think if you have a .craft file with modded parts that are not available and you load ship at sph or vab, that ship is grayed out and says its missing parts. Before you would be able to load it but it would tell you your are missing the following files...

I'm having the same issues as others, but it does not generate a error log, what file(s) would be most helpful?
