  1. I really like your design, seems much easier to move things around this way.. Instead of "shoving" parts or flying them. But I'm having a problem getting new modules built and landed. You show a large orange fuel tank with landing gear. I'd like to land one of those on Mun, but I'm not sure how. Do you just mount engines on the side that decouple, and then edit the save to clean up the debris? Any chance someone can post a youtube video or tutorial with screenshots? Thanks again!
  2. I guess I'm not sure why so many people think controls would be hard. Everything is buttons, either the WASDQE on the keyboard which could easily be put on the nav ball, or mouse clicks on part, which could be a simple touch interface.. Personally, I think the physics and over all size of the app would be hard. simple physics like "simple rockets" or the like are ok.. but KSP has so much more to track and calculate. Don't get me wrong, I think someone smart could do it.. and like I said above, if they were able to pull it off, I'd buy it for sure!
  3. If you were able to make a comparable app, I would gladly pay $20+ for that! Not sure if you could use existing mods but would be nice to see some of the popular ones like MechJeb and RemoteTech. I'm an iOS developer too, not as good with physics games but I'd be happy to help where I can, at least beta test. ( I have a series of devices on different iOS to test with too)
  4. WOW, 4 minutes just to start KSP?? How many mods/plugins/extra parts do you have installed? Or is your computer just old and slow? I have 4-5 Mods installed, with several extra parts, and on my MacMini ( 2.3G i7 with 16Gb ram ) I can load KSP in less than a minute.
  5. I turned off "Corrective Steering" and it's helped out a lot! Thanks for the suggestion.
  6. I am using Corrective Steering, but not Force Roll. and I have Delay set to False on RemoteTech. I have tried it with RemoteTech removed and all works smoothly. So figured it was a conflict.
  7. Just wondering what it will take to get MechJeb working with RemoteTech. Do we need to wait for the MechJeb developers to change something? I know it's been said that MechJeb compatibility is a low priority, I really like the added challenge of RemoteTech, but I am not an expert and need the automation of somethings that MechJeb provides. The main issue I'm having is when I use MechJeb to Launch, as soon as we enter the gravity roll the ship rolls but won't hold position and rolls back up, then back down and up.. until it's out of control. Any chance of getting some of the automation in MechJeb, incorporated into the RemoteTech Flight Computer? ( IE, Transfers, circularize orbit, landing assist, info windows ) so MechJeb isn't needed with RemoteTech? Thanks for the great discussion, I've really enjoyed following this thread and using the mods. KSP is such an addictive game, I find myself playing it for HOURS! and thinking about what I want to do next even when I'm not playing
  8. Thank you very much.. this is very helpful! Currently I have 4 setup in a somewhat Geostationary orbit, but I can see where things might drift. I will change my configuration shortly Looking forward to Part II.
  9. I'm not really sure, I think it was maybe the construction. I don't really have an issue when I use prebuilt craft files. I think perhaps, sometimes when i place a single item, I still have the mirroring on, and it tries to place 2 or more times in that single spot. When this happens, the connection is not really made, or glitched.. I have tried to pay better attention to my mirror settings, and things have been working much better. Thanks everyone.
  10. I'm not sure if it's the physics engine, or I'm not building something correctly.. But when I attempt to launch my vehicle, the launch pad loads, then then physics take over and suddenly parts will sometimes fall off. ( like a rocket booster or something ) even though I have used Struts to brace things as well as launchpad clamps. It's like that sudden "jolt" when the physics engine takes over. This is before I even launch. Any tips or suggestions? My vehicle is not that complex.. just a liquid rocket with two solid boosters. And again, I put in Struts and use a couple docking clamps. Thanks for any suggestions, I really love this game.. It's almost addictive.
