I know there have been other threads on recovering parts, covering lots angles, but I haven't found the answer to my question...I apologise now if I have somehow missed. Most jettisoned parts are junked as debris, although there is a mod to do something about that. However, the solid booster S1 SRB-KD25k is designed to be recovered...but how? I have tried attaching radial parachutes to it....I sat and watched it land next to Jeb's capsule which came down first. But when I hit recovery, I couldn't see it. I could only see the capsule. I feel like I am not seeing something really simple. Playing 0.90 in normal career mode. Polly

I can confirm a workaround that works for me. Prior to launching KSP, change the screen resolution from 1600x900 to 1024x768. This gives me a fullscreen experience that matches previous versions, with borders left and right, but no stretching. I can't find a switch on my Mobility Radeon HD 5650 that will allow me to keep 1600x900 and at the same time prevent stretching when switching to full screen 1024x768 Forgive my naivete, but should I be submitting this as bug and do I need to do anything with the subject line? This is a workaround rather than a fix.

A bit more. I can agree with Aqua, that this is an aspect ratio issue. My laptop screen is also 16:9. What used to happen in versions up to 0.25 was that on going to fullscreen, the vertical axis was stretched to fill the screen, while the horizontal axis was constrained to 4:3, leaving me with borders left and right of screen. What is happening in version 0.90 is that on going to fullscreen, the vertical is stretched to fill the screen, and so is the horizontal axis, stretching the display from 4:3 to 16:9, leaving me with no borders and distorting the display in the process. Not found a workaround, yet, but thank you to Aqua for setting me on the right track. It doesn't look like anything that can be done from within the config file. So, again as Aqua suggests, any workaround, if there is one, is going to be with graphics driver

I am having a display issue in 0.90, unmodded. What happens is: run KSP.exe which opens in Windows mode. Start new sandbox game. Click on Tracking Station...and the display looks fine, Kerbin is circular. Press ALT+ENTER to go fullscreen...the display has been stretched. Kerbin now a flattened oval. The stretching is present on all screens. This has never been an issue in previous versions. It is still not an issue in versions 0.24 and 0.25...only in 0.90. I have checked to make sure the video driver is up to date. KSP Version: build id = 00705 2014-12-15_13-42-05 Branch: master Screenshot: this issue involves the visual difference in screen display between windowed and full screen modes (ALT+ENTER), but the screenshots of the two modes are identical...and don't show the problem. Sorry, I missed this. Didn't get the email notification, for some reason. I think it may have been overtaken with 0.24...as someone has already posted, drag and dropping or copy and pasting doesn't seem to be working, now. Shame...I like this because it groups by biomes. Science Library just doesn't fit the way I play. :/

Thank you for this...works pretty well in Chrome, but not Firefox, which doesn't matter at all. I only mention as a general comment for anyone who happens to pass by.

KSP 23.5 MJ 213 No other mods I am still having problems with the RCS Balancer Smart Translate. I have spent about 30 minutes just moving my craft to and fro between the VAB and the launchpad without changing any setting or opening/closing other MJ modules. I have been trying to make the problem reproduceable, but I just can't do it. It seems to be totally random With the RCS Balancer deactivated, all the thrusters always work. With the Balance activated:- - sometimes it works perfectly - sometimes it doesn't work at all - sometimes a single thruster works and when I take my finger off the key, there will be a puff from some of the other thrusters. - sometimes two thruster work and when I take my finger off the key, there will be a puff from from the other thrusters - sometimes if I turn the balancer off and back on again, it will work perfectly - sometimes if I turn the balancer off and back on again, it won't work perfectly I probably lack the rigour of a developer, but I am danged if I find a way to predict how the RCS Balance is going to behave on the launch pad. It seems totally random. It can't be random, I realise that, but it won't behave consistently for me. Here is the craft file in the hope that someone can help me make sense of what is happen. It is my laptop? Is the problem with MJ2? Is there an invisible pixie standing behind my shoulder?? http://ubuntuone.com/6uMvZYwBn3xBaSuMc6tYRL I would be really grateful for any ideas Polly

Bill says he is very sorry for all the worry he has caused. He was very embarrassed. Yes, I have notice the problem with the engines taking a while to sort themselves out. Thanks for the suggestions

Oh...he has just appeared. I wonder if it is a performance issue on my laptop or whether he was perhaps just in the head??

So I assembled this ship that was going to a round trip from Kerbin to Duna to Dres and back to Kerbin, doing science in both high and low space round the targets. The ship has 6 landers attached, with one kerbonaut in each, so I didn't have to waste fuel manouvering the mother ship more than I needed. So far so good...get to Duna high space orbit, with 6 contented kerbonauts. I undocked one of the landers, intending to drop it into a low space orbit, but here's the thing. The mothership shows me that I now have 5 kerbonauts on board...so one has left. That makes sense, because he should be on the lander. Except he isn't. When I switch to lander, there is no kerbonaut window in the bottom right of the screen, so I can't go EVA. Using the keyboard shortcut, C, I can go IVA and look around and see his feet and mitts...but I can't get him out of the lander I have version 0.23 plus the right MechJeb. Any ideas where Bill might be hiding? He really needs to do that spacewalk!! Polly
