Quick suggestion Lads, and or Ladies. In order to have control over a system/planet/moon you need to place down some sort of Claim Maker, If anyone plays EVE Online they will see where I'm going with this, now whilst a faction has a claim maker over a certain territory, it is theirs, period. And in order to take control of a system you must first destroy the enemy's claim maker, and then install your own. And we caould maybe expand on this futher to add things like Fortifications, things that must be destroyed before your Claim maker can be destroyed, anyways, just a suggestyion.

Yeah but there is no limit on light weapons I mean rockets can cause crippling damage to ships, even light ones.

I was checking the combat rules and I've come across a problem. Fighters are OP. for example say I have 6 fighters, each with 2 AP missiles which can ruin capital ships, there is an entire fleet gone before they have a chance to strike back. And whilst I understand the meaning of 'Strike Craft' this rule kind of defeats the point of building anything other than carriers and fighters, bearing in mind the carrier I designed before it was stolen could hold 10 fighters and additional armaments.

I introduce, unto you, the Celereon Class Command Cruiser! It has 2 anti ship torpedoes as 2 poppet turrets. It has 6 different antennas and multiple drone control modules, It also boasts decent speed with a double afterburner system and 4 NERVA's for efficient propulsion, It has space for a very large crew - 14 max It has a C.P.A.C (Conductive Plating Advanced Communications) Unit on the back (the big stretched out dish) "The double Hull design allows for a much more focused electronic footprint, the CPAC actually electrifies the hull of the and uses this to boost EWAR capabil - Yadda Yadda" One of the Lab Boy's.

I know how to use it, I just select a part in the middile of the ship, and Then you select the part you want as the root, such as a docking port or whatever. - Oh and I ve got some eye candy for you.

Yeah but making a subassembly shouldn't be too hard because we have new tools, especially the root tool

Why not create a massive docking unit and dock you entire fleet to it? It was also stop them drifting away from eachother whilst in time accleleration, Sorry I'm just guessing here XD

So is there a ship class allowed to deploy such a weapons platform? It's not technicly a sattelite but rather a mobile weapons platform

Just a quick question about ships here, If I have say a carrier, Am I allowed to have weapons mounted to my carrier, and secondly if not, Can my carrier deploy a small weapons platform I made, sort of jump in unload fighters deploy Mobile missile platform, get out, And if so would said missile platform count as a satellite weapon? or Other?, It's about the size of a small satellite btw.

I've got a battleship in the works at the minute and I thought I'd give out some info, the Battleship itself is going to more focused around versatility and offensive strength, this means It will have a wide range of offensive weapons but it could have some problems defence wise. Atm I do have some specs, It will have at least 4 Anti-Ship AP torpedoes, the same type as my corvette, plus 2 Siege missiles, because I believe every capital ship should have the ability to bombard planets, and I'm considering adding a few spare docking ports for a fighter/bomber squadron. The ship will also have multiple Lightning Mk-II missiles turrets. For propulsion the ship has 8 NERVA's and 1 Mainsail and as for regarding crew, I'm planning on a minimum of 2 in the cockpit but space for 10 or more. I could also put up some early screens if you ppl want them. -

Okay, here we have 2 more ships, both of which are specialised So first is the Lyndra class Siege Frigate, In essence it's a planet bomber, but that is all it's good at, in order to keep costs and parts down it has no armor and very few ship to ship weapons, however it does carry 2 siege missiles. Download - And next up we have the Tribuke class Torpedo Frigate, this ship, is certainly not the most nimble of frigates but it does utilise 2 Anti-Ship torpedo launchers aswell as 4 Lightning Mk-II missiles, a very good frigate in ship to ship engagements. P.S Just remembered, as for the Siege frigate, I recommend using the missiles like actual landers and deorbiting them that way, the only problem is I'm a terrible pilot and as such I cant even plot where the missile are going to land on planets with atmosphere, so yeah just throwing that out there XD -

P.S I Coudl also upgrade it to carry yet more weapons if need be. P.S 2 - Forgot to say we would like to be a subsidiary of the KIA, As such ships to them will be free of cost, or whatever you guys decide, XD -

I might have something, My Adraxia class cruiser, It's small I agree but it's loaded with AP missiles, it's also got a crew of 2 with room for an extra 4. The ship can go to any corporation who is looking to use it, B.I.R.C (Bill's Independent Research Congregations) likes to sell for a discount and/or give away vessels to corporations looking to increase the prosperity of the Outer Rim (planets at the edge of the solar system like Jool and Dres) however will also sell ships to other various corporations that are not associated with the Outer Rim. We are not fans of the military as they always seem to bully the inhabitants of the Outer Rim. (Ignore the fuel tanks in the background, due to a cockup on my part that launch stage no longer works and thus is not distributed with the ship) Armament is 7x Lightning Mk-II missiles, each capable of significantly wounding a capital ship. Propulsion is x4 NERVA's and x1 LVT-30 Hope this suffices XD -

The reason is because I submit combat ships to the UKSC (United Kerbal Space Command) -
Hallo there people. I am in need of advice on how to armor ships using structural plates. I used to use wing parts which I was rather good a but these plates are far superior in terms of protection to the old wings parts. However, I struggle quite a bit with creating ships with armor, how do you guys do it, Do you build a structure of I Beams, and then armor the ships or what?
