  1. I have a space plane body with four stack nodes: [li]Top, for nosecone[/li] [li]Left & Right, for wings[/li] [li]Bottom, for fuel tank[/li] If I attach anything taller than a certain height (~0.5m) to the bottom node, the ailerons on the wings will turn in the wrong direction. It\'s not just a visual bug; the plane actually has reversed controls! What on Kerbin is happening?
  2. Just added a 0.12 compatible version of the Luna Moon Rocket to the .zip file.
  3. Yeah it\'s very strange. I\'m glad to hear that you sorted it out anyway.
  4. Well I\'ve flown it a couple of times now. Once on a trip around the moon and once in a low orbit. I\'ve got a bit of feedback. [li]I feel like the RCS doesn\'t provide enough torque. Manoeuvring in space was very slow. In particular, rolling (Q&E) didn\'t seem to work at all.[/li] [li]I couldn\'t land the capsule successfully. I tried what you suggested (holding the 20 degree AoA then using the engines to flip over at 1000m), but I couldn\'t keep the capsule straight during the flip. I just death-spiralled into the ocean.[/li] I use a joystick if that makes any difference. [li]I ran out of RCS fuel, but I\'m pretty sure that\'s because I left the RCS switched on when I time-skipped to the moon. [/li] [li]Fuel for the main engines is tight, but that\'s the point.[/li] [li]The textures on the bottom of the decouplers are quite plain. Maybe add some more detail there?[/li] [li]Personally I feel like the brown colour is a little dull. It looks 'unpainted'.[/li] [li]The model is brilliant. I love the way it snaps together.[/li] Parachutes would make landing a lot easier.
  5. Wow... That is super weird. Have you ever had this problem with other mod packs?
  6. Press alt-F2 when the game starts up to see the debug console. It will show an error message if something is wrong with the part.
  7. Uploaded a new *.craft file. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46209553/Luna.zip It\'s compatible with KSP 0.13. Screenshot on the first page of this topic.
  8. If the atmosphere is thin and cold like Mars, I don\'t think you\'d see clouds like that. Actually, puffy clouds should only ever be visible on Kerbin. Other planets would be completely covered (e.g. Venus, Titan) or have no clouds at all (e.g. Mars).
  9. Nice one. The bonus clip is great. I\'ve had a close call like that myself.
  10. I considered that. Honestly, I went with one-part engines because they\'re simpler. I may revisit this decision in the future. Down Under is compatible with all other mods. There shouldn\'t be any naming conflicts. Balance-wise, it\'s designed to coexist with the default parts (not Silisko Edition). The RD-88 is a stacking engine with a thrust of 225. It\'s the orange one. The RD-77 is the tall side engine with just 75 thrust. 8) Image courtesy of NovaSilisko. Touché. --- In other news, the next update is coming along nicely. I\'ve added some easy-to-use nosecone fairings (2m diameter), a brand new ASAS instrument ring, an RCS fuel tank, an even narrower decoupler and a tiny engine for orbital manuevers. Next up: landing legs!
  11. Jordan, I have a question for you. Have you got any plans for how you\'re going to implement Aurora? I\'m thinking of doing a space plane for my pack in the future, but experiments with the existing wings hasn\'t given me a lot of confidence. I\'ve got no idea how to make a plane stable, let alone useful.
  12. More powerful than the RD-88? That thing is almost as powerful as a 2m engine! What on Kerbin are you trying to lift?
  13. Well I may have missed Sunday, but the new version is now out. Two heavy lift engines (1m and 2m) and two side-mounted liquid boosters. Enjoy!
  14. If the meshes are joined, doesn\'t that mean they will all pivot around a single point? I want each nozzle to have its own pivot.
  15. Well I\'m almost ready to release the new parts, but I\'ve run into a little snag: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=4531.0 If it turns out that multiple gimbals aren\'t possible, I\'ll release without animated nozzles.
  16. Is it possible? If so, how do I do it? I\'ve got nine nozzles named obj_gimbal, but only one actually moves.
  17. I\'d like to release the new version on Sunday (27th). What do you mean?
  18. I\'m not going to change anything about the capsule except for performance. The service module is going to be a new set of parts altogether. It will be capable of ascent/descent, transfer orbits etc. and will include RCS fuel and an ASAS component.
  19. Well I found one bug: I forgot to move the thrust origin on my tall boosters. I don\'t know if it\'s the cause of what you\'re seeing, but it\'s certainly not helping. I\'ll have a fix in the next release. Another issue I have to deal with is the dancing 2m engines. Still working on that one. Edit: Almost forgot to reply to feanor\'s post! Basically, I\'m going to build a combined ascent/descent stage and a service module to go along with the capsule. Those parts will replace the capsule\'s ability to go to/return from the moon.
