  1. Near Aachen. A long time ago a guy called "Karl" deceided to hang around here a lot - when he wasn't out in the woods, punching Saxons for no particularly reason at all. Here's Karl, on the top left: Apparently, Karl liked to drink water which smells like rotten eggs, which you can still drink today, in here: Karl also liked to bath, preferably in warm water, and around here a lot of hot water bubbles out of the soil; that water sometimes also smells like rotten eggs. After his bath he sat around on his comfy throne, and I assume, he ate a lot of rotten eggs there. Yeah. Celts were here, Romans were here, Franks were here, French were here, some guys in tanks were here, and now I'm here. I bet I have expired eggs in the fridge.
  2. This. Kinda looks like my first experiments with decouplers in KSP.
  3. Soccer, crocheting and free hand engraving with dremels.
  4. IMO a huge modding community is like a big "brainstorming pool" for a game still in development, and when some mods make it into the final game it's like a pool of additional developers aswell, which is a good thing for a project with a small budget compared to Triple-A's. Personally I don't use that many mods, but the ones I use are crucial for my playstyle - I wouldn't play KSP anymore if I hadn't the readouts of KER, and I don't know if I ever learned docking without watching MJ doing the orbital maneuvering.
  5. I used it once to launch a big space station en bloc, which would have been too wobbly if assembled in orbit via docking.
  6. They really should have perk-like benefits. Something like, maybe, an ISP-"Boost"? Or Throttle to 110% for x seconds when an engineer is on board. 2% moar rocket power. Such things.
  7. 4 Kerbals on my SpaceStation, 4 in the RoverThingie cruising around Kerbin (does that count aswell?), 1 on Mun, 1 on Minmus, 2 about halfway to Duna. I'd say my Kerbalkind is doomed.
  8. I'm using Opera since 1999, can't tell exactly why I favor that browser over the others, I assume I use it out of habit. I tested other browsers now and then, resulting in uninstalling them again after two or three days, ranting "what is this s...t?". As a secondary I use Chrome, and after testing the completely new developed Opera Versions after v12.17 (and uninstalling them again, ranting "what is this s...t?") Chrome gets more and more "screen time" over my beloved "old" Opera 12.17. Srsly, the latest Opera Version feel and look like a stripped down Chromelike deranged roadkill of a browser, and I say that as an Opera-Fanboy. Sad thing.
  9. They should do it anyway. You know, for SCIENCE!. Also they have to add bananas.
  10. Hehe, I was about to post that exact video This is exactly what I would do if I were on the moon and a friggin' numbnut call me a liar about that. This is exactly what I do if a numbnut calls me a liar about anything I've done and accomplished in my life.
  11. Someone has to strap some GoPros or something to that.
  12. This is probably the most Kerbal way to wrestle that problem. Salute to you, sir. I will try that for myself later xD
  13. "If you're wondering how he eats and breathes / And other science facts / Then repeat to yourself 'It's just a show, / I should really just relax.'". So - what KSP has taught me to be annoyed at? Absolutely nothing. I rarely mix up movies meant to entertain someone with documentaries. Same with books. Now excuse me, I'll have to dock my infiniglider-ssto-rocket-thingie at my space station around Kerbol. [notanedit]: Hey, I can hear the engines in space. Ragequit.
  14. Yeah! My very first probe crashed with about 30m/s or something and I rejoiced "Yeah, nearly there!". Full success!
  15. Have you clicked on the "show EVAs"-Option in Map mode? At the top edge of the screen?
  16. I use ATube Catcher. http://www.chip.de/downloads/aTube-Catcher_28829881.html
  17. Hm, I'm disappointed. The new parts don't fit in (looks), a big bunch of bugs (slingshot EVAs, wobbly nodes, right-click issues, first savegame destroyed (ever!) after a slingshot-EVA on the mun), the economic features unbalanced and exploitable, the new effects look cheesy ... I'm glad to still have 0.24.whatev on the 'drive. See ya'll on 0.26 - over and out!
  18. Oh, not much, just this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8zqvKtTPsM
  19. Several events today: My unmanned Ike-Lander named "Tina" landed on a slight slope (I thought "okay, that will do it" at first) and fell over, luckily without damages. After a few minutes of fumbling with the SAS and the landing legs I managed to get Tina on her feet again. Did a little bit of Science! and yada yada yada later "Tina" docked on my SkyLab 250km above Kerbin. The experiments were returned to Kerbin after/with a crew exchange on the SkyLab. Spaceplanes always were my "stepchild" in KSP, but today I finally managed to build and fly a stable Spaceplane to SkyLab, dock at SkyLab and landed the SpacePlane a few hours later safely at KSC. I refueled a few units of oxidizer (about 20 or so) for reentry, although later it showed it wasn't really necessary to refuel, turned the engines on again about at about 20km distance from KSC and 5000m altitude and had plenty of fuel left after the successfull landing (15% or so). Pure stock by the way.
  20. Pllllz someone explain how to use that welding tool during an EVA? Need to repair my space telescope!!!111
  21. Sun River sounds nice and makes some sort of sense. +1 three thumbs up
  22. This! Especially the thing with the SAS. At my first docking attempts the SAS annoyed the hell out of me Now I turn off the SAS at least on the "active" ship/probe a few moments before the magnetics from the docking ports take over.
  23. The first one I captured (Class D, it was about to swoosh by at Kerbin at approx. 450km) was named after a well known daredevil in the kerboverse - "Jeb's Rock". Jeb's Rock is now circulating Kerbin in an ovate, eccentric, but stable orbit somewhere in between 380km and 1.800.000km
