Unrealistic Super Stock Was a bit different as I compete against myself normally with only probes (no kerbals die during testing). 316 m/s maybe a little less as I was a bit late on the info screen. Much room for improvement since this was a first run effort. Early versions of this sled used O-10 parts hence the "less cheating" tag.

I am trying to parody a recent truck commercial involving splits. I am running into problems. My kerbal will not stay attached to the trucks long before the trucks move with any speed. Video included. Any hints on how to keep Jeb from drifting off the trucks so quickly? He only needs to stay on one truck for this to work or even better fall after the trucks drift apart. I looked for a video like this one and came up empty. I was 30 seconds in before I found some forum posts discussing making one. I decided to finish my efforts and came up with the below.
