Rewind would be a cool idea, but I'm trying to get my head wrapped around how it would work. Only on rails rewind would not be much of a problem I think, "just" run the on rails orbits in reverse, but in physics warp it would be way more difficult I think, because all the physics simulation and controls would have to work in reverse too, generally that should not be a problem, but maybe some shortcuts in the programming of the simulation are built on the expectation that time runs in one direction.

(Small) Thing about using a contoller
viccie211 replied to viccie211's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I know things as Joytokey and Glovepie, I just hoped KSP could natively support it, Alas. -
Hey, I'm kinda used to flying with my XBOX 360 controller for a while now, analog control is so much better. But I have a (small) suggestion. Squad, can you make it possible to assign an analog axis to a button binding? That it just "Presses the button" if you press it fully? For instance that would make it possible to assign the brakes to the LT so you can drive with a rover like you would normally do in driving games using RT to accelerate and LT to brake. I actually don't know how small this is to implement, but I would love to see it. Kind Regards, viccie211

Hello fellow engineers, A friend and I have just started a modded DMP save with mostly just parts (B9, KW, Station Science and a couple of smaller part packs) and while we were building our space station we came across something. We wanted to have a nice big living compartment with with it's own IVA view, kinda like the Hitch Hiker storage container but bigger and for more kerbals with it's own interior. We did have one but the inside view looked a bit like a commercial airplane cabin. I casually browsed curse and I didn't really find anything, so do people know of a mod that has this? (Or if they really want to go overboard and make it) Btw I'm looking for .25 Thanks in advance viccie211

I went to orbit, that's enough for now. The problem was that with the design of the Space Shuttle, the center of mass isn't that balanced. There was no thrust on the big tank only on the SRB's and the Orbiter, this makes it very very unstable, that in combination with the wings makes it hard to fly. With the real space shuttle the main engines could gimbal like crazy, in stock KSP that isn't possible though so SAS wasn't powerful on it's own. The Vernor engines in the tank made it better though.

Extremely geeky video about making the Apollo Guidance Computer
viccie211 replied to Beowolf's topic in Science & Spaceflight
It's weird to see how it's operated, now it would all be done with gui's and probably commandlines too, but only typing in numbers and then having to remember what those numbers mean? It really puts in perspecitve that your smartphone is thousands of times better of a computer than that piece of ancient technology. -
Apparently I hadn't got enough fuel so I did what every Kerbal engineer does: I ADDED MOAR BOOSTERS!!!!!!! And I switched to launching completely on SRB's and switching after they've seperated. I made it to orbit though, albeit barely. The result: That was enough struggle for me. THANKS FOR THE ADVICE !

Hi, I'm trying to build a stock space shuttle(It doesn't need to be very true to the real one) but I'm having some trouble stabelizing the craft after my boosters separate. I'm at a point where I can get it to be stable after the seperation, but I need to throttle down and then I don't have enough thrust to keep going. So please can someone help me position some engines? Imgur Album with some screens Dropbox link to .craft It would be so awesome if someone could give me a hand!

If you haven't already heard about it, it's brilliant. 50000 people playing Pokémon Red via button inputs in the twitch chat. What this boils down to is 50000 people pressing buttons into an emulator running for almost 4 days now. You can find it here and you can play along too just type a,b,left, right,up,down, select or start in the chat the button will be "pressed" by an IRC bot scanning the chat. Actually this kind of proves the "Monkeys on typewriters" theorem where a thousand monkeys on typewriters, given enough time will eventually write the work of Shakespeare. At this moment the players are stuck at Celadon city trying to get back inside the fourth gym. Spread the word!

I think my love for KSP infiltrated our survival Minecraft server
viccie211 replied to viccie211's topic in KSP Fan Works
The first thing I wanted to make the heat shield out of was black wool but I had more coal and it looks better actually. The landscaping is mostly generated or done by my friends. -
Can't seem to get it to work, I can't find my way well enough through my savefile. I think I'll just have to deal with it.

I think my love for KSP infiltrated our survival Minecraft server
viccie211 replied to viccie211's topic in KSP Fan Works
My friends always complain that I can't build **** so I'm pretty proud of Voxel. -
So I also play Minecraft A LOT and on the survival server me and my friends play on we like to build cool things on our spawn. My recent love for KSP and other space flight gave me an idea. I present to you Space Shuttle Voxel: The main hull, wings and tail fin of the orbiter are made of Nether quartz blocks, so are the SRB's. The heat shielding is made of blocks of Coal and the main fuel tank is made of Orange stained clay.

Hello everyone, I'm viccie211, I'm a nineteen years old Dutch guy and I love KSP(why else would I be here). I got here because I have a problem with undocking my spaceplane from my Minmus base, however when I wanted to create an account I saw that I already had one. At that point I thought, maybe I should be a bit more active on the forum about a game I like that much. That's about it so again, Hi.

I had a German teacher last year who already had a reputation for coming late. She was new at our school the year before however she worked at another school in a different part of the country(the Netherlands are small so that can be done) and she still lived there. She worked at that other school for a long time and took a year off, after that her old school wouldn't take her back. So she came here. She came very late after a couple of weeks for the first time and I didn't like it so I went to our team manager(a teacher who is also some sort of manager for other teachers and students) because I was very bad in German and I didn't want her being late affecting my finals. She obviously didn't like that so that. On top of coming late 2-5 minutes every class she also was not the best teacher, she mostly talked about herself being miserable and ****. However when she was evaluated(like every teacher at our school) she was very very angry because she had 38 years of experience and "So I know how to teach". That was her opinion I think very different about that. The "Fun" part about that 38 years of experience is that she mentioned it about every lesson and at the end of the year it became forty. So in the three quarters of a year that was our last she gained two years of experience. This year she was fired because she didn't accept her timetable so she just denied teaching, that meant she got suspended and eventually fired.

Kurtjmac, I'm a trusty Farlander and watch almost every episode of his main series Far Lands or Bust while I was searching through his older video's I came accros his KSP series and watched it all the way from the beginning. I tried it myself but I couldn't get much done so I left it. I later stumbled accross Scott Manley and a couple of his tutorials got me back into the game.

Granted, you got sunglasses made of cancer causing material. I wish my friends would know how to play KSP.

SSTOs! Post your pictures here~
viccie211 replied to KissSh0t's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
It's technically not a SSTO because I drop the SRB's after they empty out, but it comes close and it get's(with two refueling stops) 3 kerbals to my Minmus base and back. In the VAB: On Minmus: -
I like to play KSP alone, although I still hope my friends will pick up the game, and I actually stay inside the Kerbin System, at the moment I'm starting a Minmus base using my newely developed Space Plane as a crew shuttle. Edit: I just realised that I never use docking mode, I just do everything from stage mode with the IJKL HN controls.

I haven't used Mechjeb at all. I learned it just by trying and failing and watching a lot of YouTube video's. I will not say I wouldn't like it but I like doing the mundane stuff as getting into orbit. It will probably help new players like my friends who can't do anything in KSP. But Scott Manley and even Kurtjmac taught me a lot about KSP. I think the ingame tutorials(when done well) would get rookie players farther on their own instead of using MechJeb.
