  1. While I was on Spaceport today I found some of BobCat's Soviet engine's pack, so I tried to make my own version of Soyuz with some stretchy tanks and some fairings and share the outcome with y'all...
  2. Hey y'all. I thought I'd go out on a limb here and post my first thread. It took a while to get my V-2 to fly decently, but I got the proportions as close as I could to the real thing. I used a NovaPunch engine, procedural fairings, stretchy tanks, FASA, and some KWRocketry batteries. (I also used MechJeb on the ascent, so I could snap a few photos). I apologize up front if someone has already made a replica, but I'm new to the forums so I haven't really seen much. http://imgur.com/a/DX58T#8 Also, I apologize if my images don't go through; I have no idea what I'm doing!
  3. So far, I think this is the best story I've ever read
  4. Well, I had gone to and landed on Duna a few times, but I never made it back. Then I decided I would make two separate ships, a tug and a lander/return pod. Everything went great until after I docked them and tried to intercept Duna. I was really off and wasted too much fuel trying to get an intercept. After I orbited the sun for a thousand times and finally intercepted it, I had no fuel left in the tug. I didn't pack my lander with any parachutes for landing on Duna, (I had bad experiences trying to land with parachutes, I always tore my ship to shreds, and at the time I didn't know you could repack parachutes) so I had to land rockets blazing. So a) I suck at landing, so I wasted fuel, and I wasted even more getting into orbit around Duna. Anyway, I landed, planted a flag, whatever, and then went back into orbit... or tried to. Ran out of fuel and crashed back into Duna.
  5. This is some insanely awesome artwork
  6. Tried to send a Gemini capsule (downloaded from FASA) to Moho, but didn't have enough fuel to make it back.
  7. I always wanted to make and design my own rockets, (still do, actually) but this is as close as I can get, now anyways. I couldn't build anything crazy and put it into space in real life, so playing KSP is a lot safer.
