[1.8.x] DMagic's Modlets - Most KSP 1.8 Updates [10-29-2019]
Teza replied to DMagic's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I dont normally log in to give praise... I'm ashamed to admit it. But this is one of those mods that makes me want to break that habit and say thank you for such a simple yet needed mod. I will never again slap the palm of my hand upon my head when I land another scientist instead of an engineer ever again! Kerbalkind thanks you my friend! -
parts [1.12.x] Sounding Rockets! Start small. Dream big!
Teza replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I like to try and land these rockets on the runway island from the launch pad, it takes a while to aim it up just right! -
I'd just like to say thank you for showing me how to fix this bug. After a very long day in the office all I wanted to do was sit down and fire kerbals into the nearest floor... This became impossible after I sacked Lando Kerman for spacewalk ing without prior permission. Instead of firing him into the floor I decided just to simply fire him from the payroll which in turn messed up my persistent save file! After reading your clear instructions I was able to reinstate Lando and Fire him into the floor. Thanks again for saving kerbalkind!!

Thanks for this, I was looking for a reskin myself.

How do I Make KSP Run smoother??
Teza replied to Loopman's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I have noticed a bit of slow down in ksp when I have a lot of missions. Also if you turn down your persistent debris in the settings can help a great deal as you don't have all kinds of space junk floating around. Hope this helps -
AMD compatability mode?
Teza replied to Deathsoul097's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I have read that it is to do with AMD Phenom CPU's when you have turbo core activated in the bios. This was causing ksp to crash. -
Yes! I was looking into this myself not so long ago, I went on youtube and found a couple of easy vids that show you how this is done. I found the ones that use ms paint to be the easiest to follow, you are only resizing an image and saving it as a .png file. Now the fun bit is you can search for any image you want in google images and turn it into a flag!

what parts can have the flag on them?
Teza replied to 95tiger59's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I'm sure is aw a mod called Velcro where you can fix flags to most of the stock parts. I'm not sure if it's been updated to 0.23.5 though. -
I haven't experienced anything like this with the new ARM update. Do you use a lot of mods? I was experiencing random crashes because I had installed too many memory intensive mods, it was quite frustrating so I disabled one or two of the big ones and ksp runs smooth without problems. You should probably try disabling all of your mods and trying the game without, then start adding them and see how it plays. Good luck figuring it out, hope it gets sorted soon.

Space station are useless in career mode?
Teza replied to Markhoz's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I did a similar thing with my mun mission, I had a command ship with a lander docked to the front of it. This pushed the lander to where it needed to land, detached then refuelled at the mun space station. The lander had landed, scooped up all the science and was waiting for the command ship to reconnect, share science and the quest went on it's much more fun to set up a reusable mission like this because you are constantly thinking of what happens next. If you add mods like KAS, Kethane and the excellent TAC Life Support, you end up with some highly complex and entertaining missions! -
Discontinued Satellites
Teza replied to Iforgotthis's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I like to use a certain mod for situations like this, it's a small one called TAC self destruct, it basically gives you little blocks of explosives that you can have your kerbals place on things. I know it's not really realistic but it's really fun to send a demo mission up to your stranded or obsolete spacecraft. Just a thought, hope it helps
