  1. Hi First time posting but I seem to be having a bit of trouble with one of my designs and could use some help figuring it out. The idea was to have a two part ship made up of the ship itself (screenshot 1) and a fuel section (screenshot 2) Both were separately launched then docked in orbit. Screenshot 3 is what it looks like when assembled. I wanted to keep the ship light by making the fuel supply as module and disposable as possible. When tested on the ground, there was a passive transfer of fuel from the fuel section to the ship (screenshot 4) and everything worked as intended. When it was launched however the passive transfer effect was gone and the only way to move fuel around was by manual transfer. (screenshot 5 - fuel is now draining from the tiny white tank) Is there a way to get the passive transfer effect from screenshot 4 when the ship is launched in two parts? Mods even? Cheers. 1 3 5 http://img30.imageporter.com/i/02166/xp69t2onsd3y_t.jpg' alt='xp69t2onsd3y_t.jpg'>
  2. Hey I'm new to the forum, but have been playing KSP for a few weeks. I've found many of the posts in here to be really helpful and occasionally hilarious (space humor - who knew). So before I ask my question, thanks KSP Forum! Now: After updating to 0.2, I've been building an interplanetary ship in orbit, using a design similar to one that was successful in 0.19. Basically, the biggest difference is that I'm using clamp-o-tron senior. And I cannot get the blasted thing to dock. I park it gently, less than ½ m/s, really well aligned, and yet the two parts just bounce off each other. Now, the design does have five clamps that must align, but that didn't seem to be a problem with the standard size clamp. Does anyone have any ideas as to what's going wrong? Any known issues with the new clamp? Thanks for the help!
  3. Hello, I have been trying to dock for the past 7 hours and have utterly failed each time =( First time, I didn't have lights on my ships and I ended up with a night time rendezvous. Go figure. But the next couple of times I was able to get the parts to touch but not attach. The part in question is the "Clamp-O-Tron Docking Port". I have a few questions about it: 1. Does this part attach to itself? 2. The part has a "male" side and a "female" side. By male I mean the side with the smaller radius. Does the part attach male/male, female/female, or male/female? I think I've tried female/female and male/female but neither worked. Before I spend another 30 minutes trying male/male I want to confirm if that's the problem or if it's something else. So do they attach male/male? Or do you have to turn them on? Or am I completely missing something? I was really confused when I touched the parts and they didn't attach. 3. I've read various conflicting information about this issue online, it would be helpful if the devs included a note in the game about it! Thanks
  4. Hey guys, I've had KSP for almost a month now and a few days ago I decided to make a forums account because I thought it would be a good idea to connect with the community. Back to the subject, I've been having troubles docking in space and was just wondering if somebody could give me some tips on how to rondevous with another spacecraft without colliding or sweeping by it. Thanks.
  5. I have got to within a few metres but due to the orbits not being exactly on the same plane I'm unable to dock. Please can someone help? I've got a manned lander and unmanned interplanetary stage that needs to be docked in order to do my first long range return mission.
  6. hello to all kerbalnauts. I need some professional help for docking because I am currently working on the supper big and lets not for get awesome Kerbal International Space Station.
