So I've been looking around for good ksp fireworks.... and found none. So i had an idea, what if you took the flares from BDA and then made them all different colours and they could act as like the small fireworks. Still no big explosion fireworks which is a shame but maybe someone could help me make a bda missile which explodes like a firework? Would people be interested in that?

Happy 2018! This New Year's Eve I started playing with the kind of fireworks that don't scare dogs or cats, only Kerbals. There is an old mod that adds fireworks to the game, and by some miracle, it still works in KSP 1.3.1. Enjoy! Since fireworks are a big part of any American Independence Day, and these forums are very science inclined I'd figure there's no better time to explain what goes on when those bright colors and loud noises are released into the sky. Most fireworks use different salts to make all of the colors you see. When these salts are burned, each of them produce a unique color. For example Barium Chloride (BaCl2) produces green, Sodium Nitrate (NaNO3) produces yellow, and Strontium Carbonate (SrCO3) produces an intense red. Fun fact, Disney is the biggest consumer of fireworks in the US. Please feel free to share any other things you might know about fireworks, like how they're made or how they work! Hi guys, and happy new year! I tried to build some fireworks in KSP and put together a short video. Sadly Windows 10 has taken my usual video editor from me, so I had nearly no edit features, and there isn't even commentary text in it. However, it should be good enough to enjoy some explosions, if anyone feels like it ;-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0AlKzZlZJo
