  1. Not sure where to post this since I'm new but I had severe performance issues with the Final Frontier mod installed under Linux that weren't present under Windows. It took me roughly 3 days to figure that out so I hope this helps somebody having the same issue.
  2. In the main menu I get ~300fps (with a 300Hz screen), and in "Space Center" view, I get ~140fps. When in a craft on Kerbin surface/flying trough Kerbin atmosphere I get ~30fps, and when in Kerbin orbit, with camera pointed away from Kerbin I get ~65fps, and when looking at Kerbin I get ~50fps When near Mun, I get 100fps when looking away/85fps when looking at the Mun, so I'm thinking it has to do something with either Scatterer or AVP's atmosphere components Near Eve it's 60fps looking away/~43fps looking at. Thing is, I'd be more than happy with these FPS' if I didn't get 100+ yesterday Specs: Ryzen 9 6900HX RTX 3070 Ti Mobile 16GB 4800Mhz RAM (Visual) Mods: AVP with 8k textures DE_IVA Extension EVE Redux (as AVP dependency) Parallax Scatterer TUFX (default profile) Waterfall Settings: Terrain detail: High; Terrain Scatters True; (Terrain) Scatterer Density: 100% Render Quality: Fantastic; Texture Quality: Full Res; Aerodynamic FX Quality: Normal; Reflection Refresh mode: Every frame; Reflection Texture resolution: 2048; Terrain Shader Quality: High Resolution: 1920x1080; Anti-Aliasing: 8x; V-sync: Every second V-blank; Frame Limit: Default (Changing it doesn't do anything); Pixel Light count: 64; Shadows Cascades: 4 Mod settings: Scatterer: High; Kopernicus: All default Again, I'd be happy with these FPS' if yesterday they weren't some 70fps higher
  3. Hi guys, i have the problem that my game lose fps when i build rockets/ ships with more than 200 parts .. not in VAB but when i wanna launch my vessel it becomes unplayable for me i installed 133 mods .. yeah its a lot i know .. but i've played games with much better graphic and way more mods installed. my pc specs: intel core i5-3550 (4 cores with each 3,30 Ghz) 24 GB Ram Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 (Gigabyte 4 GB GDDR5) KSP just uses 30 -40% of my cpu, 6 - 12GB Ram and round about 15% of my gpu i already tryed to lower the grapics and the physics settings of the game. but still massive fps drop with a 300 part vessel -.- does someone can help me here please? thanks and have a nice day ppl EDIT: i have KSP 1.8.1 installed
  4. For some reason when as I enter duna's atmosphere with a space plane (any space plane small and large) my fps starts to tank until I reach 8km from the surface then my computer just dies and my fps just drops to almost nothing and makes the game almost unplayable. I have tried this with task manager up and it doesn't seem to be a hardware problem. The only mods I have installed are some visual enhancement mods like scatterer, EVE, SVE, Real Plume and also some others like Ampyear, Chatterer, Mechjeb, and Kerbal Engineer. I have also recently tried uninstall kopernicus wich did help some but when I get below 8km the game still becomes unplayable. Also I have landed on duna before in this via Apollo style craft and there was no lag it seems to only be caused by vessels with wing parts. Also this doesn't happen on kerbin or Laythe or anywhere else. It is just Duna where this happens. Please help!
  5. The title says it all, I'm having a huge fps drop when I look to the surface of Duna, there is no lag on the map screen and the the fps start to drop at below 70km of altitude. The lag only happens on Duna, on Kerbin and other bodies the game runs normally. I'm using kerbal 1.6 with no mods and the turned down almost every graphics settings. My system: Intel Core i3-3110M @ 4x 2.4GHz 4GiB of RAM Intel HD Graphics 4000 Kubuntu 18.04 (Linux)
  6. So this issue has persisted since the patch that upgraded KSP to unity 5. The only time i ever got FPS drops before that where whenever i made ridiculously large crafts or had big bases /w multiple crafts within rendering distance, but that was to be expected. Since that patch however, i got 40-55 fps in the main menu and in-game, didn't think too much about it at the time because i was burned out on KSP at the time anyway. But today, with the 1.2 on the horizon, I've been trying to figure out where the problem lies. so i tried out a few things. My issue is as follows: I can run KSP in ANY resolution, either fullscreen, windowed, or borderless windowed (-popupwindow) and get 60 fps. That is until i try 1920x1080p, i can run it with a stable 60 fps at 1768x992 with all the graphics settings set to maximum. But it will go straight back to the 40-55fps area if i run it at 1920x1080p with all the other graphics options set to minimum, right after activating it it will drop down to between 40-55 fps and go back and forth between that, never settling down. EDIT: apparently i did not check resolutions below 1920x1080p in fullscreen, it is in-fact fullscreen that creates the issue. This problem persists both on 32 and 64-bit versions. Currently running with: Sabertooth 990FX AMD FX-8350 8 core at 4GHz Nvidia Geforce 970 8GB Ram --------------------- Graphics drivers where updated at the release of the Battlefield 1 beta. I have deleted and reinstalled KSP twice, removing any and all files from steamapps/common and confirmed integrity of cache via steam. I've tried the pre-release of 1.2, same issue. Any help would be very appreciated.
