Fresh install, unmodded, new sandbox game, version 1.11.0.3045 (WindowsPlayer x64) en-us / 1.6.0 Breaking Ground. Game crashes instantly after the following occurs while within either the VAB or the SPH: - New vehicle. - Select Mk1 Command Pod to place it as origin component. - Attach a TD-12 Decoupler to the bottom node of the pod. - Attach a C7 Brand Adapter - 2.5m to 1.25m fuel tank in default orientation to the bottom node of the decoupler. - Click on the placed fuel tank to "hold" it. - Press Ctrl-Z to replace the fuel tank. - Flip the held fuel tank upside down by tapping the W key twice. - Place the held fuel tank on the bottom node of the replaced fuel tank. This has also occured with the Kerbodyne ADTP-2-3 fuel tank. I have not tried every fuel tank, nor every game mode besides sandbox.

I have encountered a bit of a problem while designing how the re-entry of a large rocket will work. I have a 3-2 converter at the top of my rocket under my command pod. It would be the heaviest thing on the rocket with a mass of almost 17 tons while full. During reentry, the rocket would almost certainly flip and burn up. Question: Is there any way to drain all of the fuel off of a tank without accelerating or moving? If I could, it would reduce the weight to just under 2 tons which should be easily manageable.

Benjamin Kerman's Welding Supply Co Is proud to present: Ludicrous Propulsion Systems "LPS adds taller fuel tanks in all stock sizes and new throttleable hybrid engines burning solid fuel and oxidizer" UPDATE: Alpha Release is live! Current version: 0.2.4 Download here on Github or comment on the Official Release Thread The license for this mod is the MIT license. I have spent many hours working on the code, so I would appreciate it if you don't pass it off as your own work without at least mentioning me. Source Code: The code is functional, but uses stock textures. We are still working on the final models and textures. I would be grateful for anyone to go through the code I have so far and make a bug report if you find anything wrong about it. Source Code: https://github.com/BenjaminCronin/Ludicrous-Propulsion-Systems The parts: All part config files made, and we are working on the models. See my GitHub Wiki for all parts and info! Some peeks... Contributions: @hedgey579: Doing all the modeling and being my "partner in crime". @linuxgurugamer: Thanks for answering all my questions about .dll files. @Streetwind: Thanks for answering my questions about the differences between all the kinds of mods. @Nertea: Thank you for getting me into modding, as your mods were the first I downloaded. @Supercheese: Help with balancing part prices. Likes and kind words are always appreciated, they show help show me that people are interested in my work! Want to help? Feel free to make a pull request on my GitHub page for any of your mods. This mod includes ModuleManager (MM) and AVC, all credit for those goes to the authors.

I will introduce the Black Hole Tanks Mod. (As soon as i have a picture of its modal i will upload it) The Black hole tanks mod allows one to use the Two tanks (One LFO and the other Ore) to hold large volumes of material (such as Ore and LFO) in a Smaller package than would normally be required. Make by Daquan Kerman the two tanks Dry mass is 20 tons (in order to discourage intrepid SSTO Users from adding 15 Mamoths to it) but holds an amazing 12000 LF and 14666.67 Oxidizer. the Ore tanks wet mass has yet to be determined. The tanks do retain their full wet mass, as in order to also discourage its use as a main stage fuel tank for it is meant for Satellites and ground stations Im trying to build some support and would happily accept anyone willing to help me test the tanks. I am also accepting anyones help in modeling, New ideas, or even just Balancing. All suggestions for parts would be happily accepted. https://github.com/Darknesshas1/DK-BHTanks Benjamin Kermen (My cocreator), Linuxgurugamer (Helping us with the .dll) and I are working together on this mod. It is my first so i have no clue what i'm doing, and am happy for all of the help they're providing

[WIP] This is a mod that adds extra Ore holding tanks for KSP, notably smaller ones. The stock Ore tanks in KSP, in my opinion, are too big for smaller landing craft (with the radial holding tank as an exception). Therefore, I am making a mod pack for myself that will give more Ore tank sizes, and also thought about releasing it to the public. Furthermore, the game has two inline-mounted ore tanks, both 1.25m and 2.5m, respectively. However, I do believe that they are too long to fit on a lander of some sort and I would like to make a half-version of the 1.25m ore tank, with exactly half the storage capacity. This wouldn't change the fact that it is 1.25m, though, it would only change the height of the tank. This would in turn enable it to be mounted on crafts more compactly. If this mod is what people may consider using after development, then please reply to this forum as this is going to go ahead for my personal use but I would like to see if the general community would like to also use these parts. The textures will probably be similar, but they might not be identical for reasons to do with copyright of Squad's textures. I will look into this. Speculated parts list: 0.625m Tiny Ore Tank; capacity around half of the 1.25 version. 1.25m Small Ore Tank; only difference to stock one is the height; therefore the capacity is half that of the stock 1.25m one. (Possibly) 3.75m Extra Large Ore Tank; for huge landers and bases; capacity twice the size of the 2.5m stock tank. These ore capacity numbers may change in development if they seem too high or too low for the relative size of the tank. All of above is true in the hope that my creativity skills with 3D design software is good enough to create a decent mod pack. Please submit your opinions below. Thanks. UPDATE: The first fuel tank is done. This one is the 1.25m half-variant one. The picture below shows the normal stock 1.25m Ore tank and next to it is the modded one. http://imgur.com/3mDW2tQ Cost: 750 Mass: 0.25 Ore Capacity: 150

Although the Oscar-B is a good tank that can be stacked, when you need to create the fuel volume of four to eight of these stacked, it becomes painful to perform a refueling mission and quickly adds to the part count for drop tanks. If there were a few stock tanks with the Oscar-B radius, but perhaps four times as long (four times the fuel and oxidizer) and another eight times as long (eight times F&O), then you would dramatically reduce the part count and still allow for crafts with side drop tanks that easily fit within the existing cargo bay.
