Hey, Back in the days I was too young to have ever heard about steam, so I bought the direct download version. Now that steam workshop is a thing, I really want to have the steam version without paying money to get it, just for a steam workshop function. Is there any way to make my hopes and dreames reality? Thanks anyway

Basically I keep each stage of my rockets as separate vessels so that I can use switch and swap them around, and they tend to be pretty complex. So I have a rocket to get into orbit and a payload each with their own staging, all set up. Merge the rocket onto the payload and BAM. Not only are the rockets stages messed up, but it's changed all the stages for my payload too (usually into one giant jumbled mess with no rhyme or reason at all). if you can't figure out the stages, don't mess with them lol EDIT: The best solution? EDIT2: (why does tab submit on this forum) Make a type of ship design that doesn't contain parts but other ship designs and the stages are the designs in order. I don't actually expect though.

I can't merge ? what is the problem ?

In attempting to create a new component I'm having a nightmare of a time getting the component to respect it's saved orientation when I merge it into another component. I.E.: I have it rotated (QWES Rotation, not "3" Rotation) such that the it should face a certain way. However, when I merge the component in, it always loads facing the "default" direction. When I try and rotate it after merging it in, it %&*!s up the radial orientation so it ends up inside the component I'm trying to mount it to. Help?
