Space Cymru A Welsh space program alternate future series. =========================================== 1st January 2023 - Space Cymru Foundation Bore da! Sut dych chi? Or in English: Good day! How are you? Today is the day that an idea that has been kicking around in the welsh assembly for a while comes to fruition! A fully Welsh space program. Enter the new newly formed Space Cymru, a branch of the Welsh government devoted to all things space. There are currently two launch sites under development: Seren (in english star) space centre at Holyhead in north Wales and Space Snowdonia a testing site to be built in the centre of a deserted section of the snowdonia national park. The centres should be completed in the next couple of years, and then the space program will be fully ready to go. The newly appointed director Sarah Kerman has said that they cannot wait to see this space program flourish. It is also speculated that there will soon be a partnership with NASA and possibly Space X in an attempt to put the first Welsh astronaut in space. ========================================== This is my new series for a fictional alternate future for an imaginary Welsh space program. I will write in English but some names for rockets and lines will be written in welsh. Progress will probably be quite slow as I hope to do it as realistically as possible. The play through will be extremely kerbalised, with the kerbol system (as I have an almost un-modable computer). I will replicate real world craft as best I can when necessary but will stick to unique craft where possible. Mods: Hopefully the first update should be ready in the next few days. ====================================================================== I am new to the forums and have found myself unable to add images to posts: I understand that the forum does not host images (or something like that) and you must add them using a 3rd party service. I have attempted to use Flickr for this purpose but the embed image links that I have copied into the insert image from URL test box, but it has repeatedly shown red and has not allowed it to be entered. How can I insert images? Any help would be appreciated. SOLVED

A happy St. David's Day to all the Welsh and Welsh-descended out there! In the US, it's almost completely ignored, probably due to the proximity of the much-more-famous St. Patrick's Day, but there are a few of us who wear the leek...
