Hey guys, I decided to draw bluey characters on Mars. Check it out! Now, about 48 hours later, I am currently expanding on that and decided to start a worldbuilding/story/project thingy. I have a lot to do, but I have came up with a basic layout of how this would work. The name of the international crewed Mars program is Phoenix. I am gonna need some help with sciencey bits and things like that. You guys got any ideas? I’ll post again soon for more details.

Hello folks, so I'd like to show my worldbuilding project + a planetary system I'd like to eventually incorporate into it. It takes place in the 27th century and is reasonably hard SF, but not "diamond hard". It's a work in progress and the general technological level is advanced fusion/early antimatter drives, strong but not transsapient AI, extensive human genetic tweaking for different conditions is used etc. I'd like to hear some feedback, ask me questions etc. For the reasons of lenght I present it as Dropbox links, keep in mind you don't need to be a Dropbox user or have it installed at all to take a look on it (.rtf is the WordPad format btw). https://www.dropbox.com/s/si6vhxzbn7yw40g/Mnemosyne-WIP.rtf?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/tx6l95els5bf5j6/ShipdesignsREDONE-WIP.rtf?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/b8ozmydqdibb9a9/Satis.rtf?dl=0 Some pictures of the Ra/Satis planetary system: https://imgur.com/a/mUf47Un EDIT - I'm not sure this is the right subforum for this but I don't know where else to put it. I'd like to ask admins to please move it to the approperiate section if this isn't the right one.

(MPIO) = Main Planet Idea Only; I only have an idea for system's main planet (SLP) = System Layout in Planning; Currently planning system layout (WIP) = Work in Progress; Working on making system, note that System Layout may change in this stage (AD) = Almost done; Nearly finished with system (FNW) = Finished but Not Written; System is finished, but I'm currently too lazy to write it (FW) = Finished and Written; System is finished and I got off my @$$ and wrote it here -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So I recently decided to make an entire solar system for a li'l pink world I made art for, and I ended up making it a rogue star with a couple planets and moons. And then my mind decided "Hey, it might be useful for you to organize and share your stuff!", which is the most useful thing my brain has said in about a million years. I won't share the system I made for the pink planet, that'll be in a story I write that takes place in the system, but here are some other systems I'm making or are done with: Y-TYPES: T-TYPES: L-TYPES: M-TYPES: K-TYPES: G-TYPES: F-TYPES: A-TYPES: B-TYPES: My eventual goal is to put at least some of these systems in a KSP mod I'm planning that puts the Kerbol system in a globular cluster near the galaxy of Hoag's Object, a peculiar ring galaxy. And yes, almost all these systems will come pre-packaged with some sort of alien civilization(s), though B-types will only have colonies and I won't make O-types as they don't live long enough to have planets. Also, please note that I'm not taking suggestions for systems, though I'm open for suggestions for creative alien civilization(s)!

I have way too many star system ideas. Unless I have somewhere to park them, I'm not gonna get anything done. So I did this. This is all my star system ideas. At one point I might put these into a mod. The systems: T-types M-types K-types This will probably be neverending.

This universe has escaped the bounds originally imagined for it, and it would be silly to continue calling it "the Kerbal Future universe." Thus, I present to you... Kerbae ad Astra Kerbalkind to the Stars Centuries after Jeb's flea hopper, the kerbal species ventures outwards, leaving the sanctuary of Kerbol far behind. Little did they know the glories and horrors which awaited them... Faster-than-Light Travel

I've been constructing a custom solar system lately, and being the math geek I am, I decided to try and create a Dv map for my system. The only problem being that I have no clue what I'm doing. I can't even seem to recreate the numbers I see on Dv maps for the stock game. I know that I should consider the Vis-Viva equation and assume everything's co-planar and perfectly circular but is there something I'm missing? I would also like to discuss about any other formulas, such as which would yield the most effective results. I would really appreciate it if somebody could enlighten me on this subject. It would also help other system-builders with their work.

Hello and Welcome to MetaSeed. Here, I will track my progress through the development of MetaSeed. It is a worldbuilding project, integrated into a game design effort. About the world: Earth. 1 million years have passed since the first human civilization collapsed. From the radioactive, polluted and ruined remains of the world, life has sprung again, forming five factions. With it appears magic, a force known differently to each race, yet equally devastating. The Vroz, an ancient and predatorial species, was summoned by the devastating energies of humanity's wars. They draw ever nearer, and promise to consume all life of Earth. Today, they war. Tomorrow, they face destruction. The game: A tabletop wargame, to be played with cards. It is free and easy to play, with an emphasis on customizability, metagaming and player freedom. Each player designs their own units, drawn from a mixture of the different factions with a playstyle in mind. On the field, the rules are streamlined and effective: combat promises to be fast-paced and rewards tactical thinking. An innovative turn system keeps all players occupied. Themes: A rational, internally consistent approach to worldbuilding. The different factions are brutal and flawed, but never mad. The magic system does not dismiss the links between cause and effect, and is in fact a veil over scientific concepts familiar to each player. In some ways, a sensible Warhammer, in other ways an elaborate chess game. Objective: A fun game where players can express their creativity, and an interesting world from which can be drawn momentous battles and fascinating characters.
