Problem sending multiple probes to specific "contract" orbits from a single launch

Recommended Posts

I've only just signed up to the forums, so forgive me if this is posted in the wrong place.

I recently had two contracts on the go to send probes into two different specific orbits of the mun, so I thought to save time I'd kill two birds with one stone and send them both up in one launch. However when I eventually got them both into the correct orbits only one was registered as being successful , it seems to be because only one probe core was considered to be in "command", even after I had decoupled them.

So even though I had a probe in the second specific orbit, the one that had been in command when launched was in the first specific orbit. Maybe I've just been stupid and there's a way to remedy this, if so, I'd love some suggestions! If not I really think it should be programmed in that more than one command module can be launched.

Having said that, now I'm heading in the correct direction, the criteria "launch a new unmanned probe with power and an antenna" is still unfulfilled. It definitely has power and an antenna. Maybe because I returned to the space centre its no longer new?

Don't forget to actually accept the new contract! I once set a sat up to an orbit, got it perfectly matched, and was ???. Then I noticed that I didn't actually accept that contract, but the orbit showed up in the map window. Maybe unaccepted contract orbits/locations should pulse to let you know they are not accepted yet.
