Station Orientation

If I put my station into a circular, equatorial orbit and then orient it so that "up" is toward the north pole of the planet or moon, will it still be in that same orientation when I come back to it later?

If it's on rails when out of physics range it shouldn't change orientation, should it?

to the best of my knowledge, it should remain in that EXACT orientation next time you rendezvous with it. Just make sure you are set it exactly (another reason I like Mechjeb)

Objects actually do seem to rotate when on rails. There seems to be a malfunction in the code that handles that (I think it's compensating for the translation incorrectly). However, they ONLY rotate around the north/south axis, so a station pointed up/down will still be up/down when you return to it (assuming kraken drive effects don't cause it to rotate on it's own once it's in physics range).

Okay. Thanks for the information. I suspected that was true but I hadn't been able to verify it.
