Does Testatika work?

I've recently stumbled upon this article about a machine called "testatika". It's supposedly a prepertural motion device. I know that's batshiz bananas but there's not a lot of information regarding it. Does it work? Most of the articles on it are from sites I don't really trust (most of the other articles are on the topic of Obama knowing about aliens so that's a total nope) but at the same time I can't find an article that says why it doesn't work. Help!

Perpentual motion is possible, it's not a big thing.

However a machine that generates energy out of nothing is not.

So if they claim that they produce power out of nothing they clearly lie.

Yes?

A good example why perpetual motion machines don't work is the motor, dynamo and battery setup.

The motor drives the dynamo which charges the battery which drives the motor.

The energy put into the motor is changed into heat and motion.

Motion is converted by the dynamo into energy, but it also looses energy to heat.

So in the end the battery will receive and give less energy, which is a downward spiral of the setup loosing all of it's energy.

Perpentual motion is possible, it's not a big thing.

However a machine that generates energy out of nothing is not.

So if they claim that they produce power out of nothing they clearly lie.

Or even claiming that it can retain it's total sum of energy.

I did some googling:

http://peswiki.com/index.php/PowerPedia:Testatika

[h=3]Verification[/h]No scientific investigation of these claims have been reported. Supposedly, the community is conducting perpetual motion research. Claims over copying the machine and replicating its operations have not been verified. Some claim that attempts to copy the machine produced a non working result. A Testatika device was demonstrated to over 30 technicians and engineers shortly before August 4, 1999[1]. Researchers skeptical about the Testatika, said by some to be a free energy source, have not been allowed to perform verifiable measurements of the device.

On July 15, 2006, New Energy Congress member, Ken Rauen said:

"Note it is speculation. No data about the Testatica machine has ever been verified. The Methernita community does not allow anyone to investigate it or even see it."

Perpetual motion devices are impossible.

Note that the modern definition of perpetual motion devices refers to systems that produces energy without changing their state, not something that mantains it's speed or rotation indefinetly. Every atom or particle would be such a device, by that definition!

Why they are impossible? Because they violates thermodynamics' principles.

That would be nice, (free energy for everyone, no more delta v budgets!) but unfortunately Universe is an honest guy that never brakes the law.

There's really no such thing as a perpetual motion device, but there are devices out there that "extend" motion. I had a magnet powered spinner that would take the energy applied from the initial spin (my hand) and continue to spin for about 20 minutes before it lost enough energy to maintain itself and collapse.

The reason why these devices don't exist (and the reason why they're so sought after) is because they claim to make energy out of nothing. It's the same as saying a perpetual apple device makes apples out of nothing when in reality you need apple seeds, apple trees, and the molecules and atoms that make up those things.

Even if we did discover a "perpetual" motion device, it would still be pulling energy from somewhere else. The ZPM's (Zero Point Modules) in Stargate: Atlantis seemingly pulled energy from nowhere, but they actually just pulled it from a small contained bubble of sub-space.

Even in Sci-Fi, there's no such thing ;)

The  thermodynamics' principles are an approximate mathematical model, for instance they are for isolated systems and we live in an open system.

They are not valid in a closed system.

Can you stop the planets? Can you stop the atoms?

Perpetual motion is possible. With thermodynamics' principles, someone wants to build a jail for your mind.
