Hey, I wish we had a 1.25 parachute the size of a Mk16-XL but that would allow you to put other parts such as decouplers or docking ports on top of it !

Right now if you use a Launch Escape System you have to use radial-mounted parachutes (and i don't like those). I would like to detach the LES and then fire the parachute underneath ! Same goes with docking ports : you have to choose between radial parachutes or radial docking ports ! How about both ? From top to bottom you would have a docking port, a decoupler, the chute, and your capsule. Once you are done with docking, jettison the docking port for re-entry and expose the parachute !

What do you think about that ?
