Thinking of setting up my own RP forum, what do you think?

Inspired by the KSP RP forum, I\'m thinking of making my own RP forum.

It would be unrelated to KSP Roleplaying.

It would be set on a whole different planet, with a whole different species.

I\'m not looking to steal members from the KSP RP forum, oh no.

However, since we\'re meant to lessen down the violence on the KSP RP forum, I thought that if I make a forum there\'d be no need to do that on my forum. Now, I\'m not disrespecting the mods, infact I think they made a good decision it that. I mean, it is Kerbal Space Program.

I have a prototype map for the planet, what do you guys think?

Also note the planet is about five times the size of earth.

Blue is sea.

White is land.

Grey is ice.

Light grey is land covered by ice.

It could be that this is just a terrible idea, and if I know I\'ll get no members or support from you guys, I may just not make it.

But I thought, with the new RP forum, I thought this would be for people who don\'t want to go to space, just continue the nation-rp-thing.

I also think having a game master(s) who runs plots and players who are the heros / villians of the story, would make things run a lot smoother and give the entire game an interesting narrative to follow rather then everyone doing their own thing.

I only do roll playing games with dice and stat based systems. Stats prevent people from pulling deus ex machinas when things aren\'t going their way.

(I should point out I really don\'t know how the RP is handled here. I\'ve honestly never looked into it.)

I could look into this. I may be able to be the american moderater. So we can keep it moderated, ya know? I can also set up systems and things. We also are able to explore other planets and things without being restricted, like in normal RP. Also, map looks good. How large is the planet?

Maybe my eyes decieve me or you left it out on purpose, but there is only one lake, unless the topography is perfectly smooth with altitude only rising as you move away from the sea, then there\'s gotta be water trapped here and there, add some lakes, perhaps? Rivers too, if you don\'t mind.

It\'s a Terran moon the size of Kerbin.

Which is small, given that the planet is about twice as big as earth.

KSP, Orbiter, I don\'t really care.

I guess it will be possible to advance.

The planet is twice the size of the earth, so the map can\'t show the rivers and the non-huge lakes.

I am putting up the forums now.

If you want aircraft, you can draw them in paint or whatever.

It\'s like the current RP Forum, that\'s what I was inspired by.

However, there will be mod-controlled events to make it more exciting.

Also, don\'t use google ads to get more traffic, I did that before for my forums, the WHOLE place was trolls so I shut the site down. (Plus it was just me moderating those forums...)

So make sure you have a good mod team so you don\'t get massive spammed by trolls.

I\'m not going to have ads on the site.

I\'m actually using forumotion to set up the forum, a free hosting client.
