OK, so if the ore won't be worth recovering (it doesnt seem to be in the plans for now) I guess I will be processing it into Xenon and then recovering. The new, bigger tank might come in handy.

I bet the fuel consumned by this SSTO and the delivery flights to LKO from the mining sites is still more than the fuel that can be retrieved.

Not necessarily--it doesn't take much fuel to send an empty SSTO tanker up to orbit, and with parachutes it's cheap-as-free to send the full tanker back down.
