Is there any one on the fourms into the Radio controlled model hobby?

Yes!

And all kinds of RC models strike my fancy.

Currently I'm in the middle of restoring an E-sky Belt CP 450 size helicopter.

My collegue crashed it, he got cold feet forever afterwards and I purchased it from him for a low-low price as I looked for a cheap excuse to get into whirly-birds.

Most of the heli is intact save for almost every axle there is on it.

ME! I didnt fly at all last year due to circumstances, but years before I've flown. Other than a GWS slow stick, all my planes have been scratch builds from 1/4" foam insulation too.

My friend uploaded a few videos of some of my (really)old flights, this was one of my most successful designs.

Actually Last weekend bought a new spektrum DX6 transmitter to replace my 8 year old futuba transmitter, along with a crap ton of balsa stock, and some new electric components.

This year is going to be my best RC year yet. My plan is to stop using foam and go legit balsa planes. My first project will be a 27" Guillows P-51 converted from rubberband power to brushless RC.

You a member of the Wattflyer forums? They have a lot of good info, and an entire board about about UAV/FPV flying

Yukon0009, there are these teensy weensy planes which you can fly on a nice day in your neighbourhood.

A quiet street is enough!

Most Depron-based planes are also very practical.

Especially the so-called "park-flyers". Guess why they're called that! :)

Indeed you can fly at most parks, provided there arent trees in the way. I got my start at a high school football field, and my city has a huge multiple-soccerfield type area thats also really good. But A local high school field should be more than adequate for most planes.

The place where I live has no quiet streets....
