Raving Bonkers
Hey guys, I have been playing around with this for some time now. I have noticed that some of the mods download as a .rar and I can't get them to work on my game. Anyone help me out on this. I'm not someone who knows anything about file types and what to do with them etc. Cheers,Ash
Baker Easy
Download WinRAR and install that. That will let you open .rar files; then just drag the folders inside to the parts folder, as usual.

Just as capable, and won't start bothering you to buy it after thirty days (or however long the trial period on WinRar is).

Tim_Barrett
I second for 7-zip, it works fine extracting .rar and .zip files

jangofett287
I prefer FreeArc, I haven't found an archive (Compressed file) yet that it will not open. The only annoying thing is is doesn't like .jar files, so can't be used for modding Minecraft, so I keep WinRar on my PC as backup.
