Looking for good Minecraft SMP servers. Anybody have any?

So I've been on a Minecraft kick recently, and was wondering if anybody had some good SMP servers (Vanilla only, please!) that I (and possibly my girlfriend) could join, perhaps team up with some other people! If any of you wonderful people play SMP, I'd be happy to join your servers!

I don't really know any SMP servers other than the Element Animation server (server.elementanimation.com) which is probably still in 1.7.10. It should be good to go on. I, personally, play minigame servers like The Hive (play.hivemc.com).

Nope, I have just a regular 1.8.3 install, and I would prefer no griefing or raiding but my usual plan is to move far away anyway, so I suppose that doesn't matter too much!

A fun, no-griefing "family friendly" server (similar rules to KSP forum...) is fun.ethicraft.net . It is still in 1.7.10(might be 1.7.x , I don't rightly remember but I think they're all compatible), but features several helpful plugins and friendly mods/admins and generally nice people. It does, however, require registration on their website, a quick process to prevent griefers/spam/etc. You can still join the server and look around/chat before this, but you can't edit blocks.

Sorry if this sounded like a server ad, but it's all true.

Also, if you don't mind my asking, what is your in game name?

Edit: It's possible to go back to previous versions via the profile editor.

I could always put mine back online if there's enough interest; was down for a while due to having RAID corruption and I had to swap out a few drives. I run it as a 1.7.5 Bukkit server, running a few plugins to make it interesting....could to move it to 1.7.9RC2 but that's as far as I can go and keep it together, as the author of Craftbukkit put up a DMCA hold on the code..
