Equation says there are more exoplanets per system than we see!

It was sort of expected that we are only seeing a small fraction of exoplanets in the systems we have been studying. How reliable are these sorts of prediction methods is still too early too say, but yeah, there should be a huge number of Earth-like worlds in habitable zones of their stars out there.

Remember, though, that the Kepler telescope is looking at a tiny portion of the sky.

Just think of how many exoplanets there are in the rest of the visible stars. It has to be a huge number!

It makes sense. We can really only detect pretty heavy and large planets right now but later on we may be able to find smaller and lighter planets.

Mostly, its easier to detect planets who are large and close, its also easier to detect them around small stars but the orientation of the planet is more important.

If Titus-Bode predictions works most of the time, yes its will always just be rules of thumbs it would be huge, Had some problems understanding the graph of habitable zone with predictions, can you be in an stable orbit next to an gas giant then your distance is closer than earth to venus?
